But coming off a dominant performance where some non-ANT chemistry seemed to be forming, I can't help but think we've got our first winning streak of the season coming our way tonight.

Yeah, I'm getting cocky. And I should know better when the Wolves are going up against a winless team -- how often have the Wolves been the salve for whatever ails a team?!?

Kinda wish Brooklyn would have won a game by now..... But yeah, these are games we need to take advantage of while Ant is out. There aren't many winnable games against Western Conference opponents without Ant, so we need to "feast on the east".
Re: First Winning Streak - Wolves at Nets GDT
ANT has been cleared for contact in practices. I doubt he's back for the Knicks game, but it sure would be nice to have him for the Denver game in another week.
Re: First Winning Streak - Wolves at Nets GDT
The Nets are a very bad team...they are terrible defensively, and shoot only 32% beyond the arc. We're favored by 9 1/2, and if we bring the same intensity we brought Saturday night, we'll cover that. Here's what I want to see tonight (besides a win):
1) Rudy dominated Kalkbrenner last game, but Claxton is more of a challenge. One thing the Nets do well is rebound, especially on the offensive glass...12.7 offensive board per game, led by Claxton. Rudy and Ju are going to have to be aggressive on the defensive boards.
2) If we are able to blow them out, I think we will see some Joan minutes. But it may highlight his poor defensive rebounding. He only played one minute Saturday, but he was completely overpowered by Kalkbrenner. If he plays, this will be a big test of his ability to rebound.
3) More Rob. It was great to see him play so well in his 16 minutes Saturday, including some clutch time minutes, and I want to see if he can duplicate it. We know he can be targeted on defense, but his quickness also makes him a disruptive influence...2 steals and a few deflections last game.
4) I want to see Ju get his 7th consecutive A rating by this board (Kek actually gave him a B+ in one game, but I'm overruling him). What a start he is off to!
5. And finally, I want to see Naz continue to show he's out of the funk he was in the first 5 games.

Re: First Winning Streak - Wolves at Nets GDT
I'll be there in a bit.
I feel like this game will be annoyingly close. The Nets will be within 5-6 points the entire night even though it won't feel like they'll truly pass us and beat us. Ant in these games would be fairly unimpressive and still drop 30. Tonight needs to be a TJ Shannon breakout night. If the game is close, the fans will get live, so the best thing the team can do is go up 12 early and keep it there.

No MPJ tonight.
Re: First Winning Streak - Wolves at Nets GDT
Two possessions, two turnovers.
Re: First Winning Streak - Wolves at Nets GDT
We’re making the worst team in the NBA look like a playoff team so far.
Re: First Winning Streak - Wolves at Nets GDT
My guy Robbie Hummel with a great sports commentator voice. Very polished and crisp. Austin Rivers still newer to the craft.

Refs have missed multiple travel calls so far. It's going to be one of those games.
