Climbing the ladder? - Knicks at Wolves GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

I decided to get this going early because this just popped up in my twitter feed:

Jack Borman @jrborman13
Jalen Brunson (ankle), OG Anunoby (ankle), Deuce McBride (ankle), Landry Shamet (shoulder) and Guerschon Yabusele (illness) are all OUT tomorrow against the Timberwolves.

Knicks will be down 5 rotation guys.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart headline for New York.

Might as well rest Jaden then.

I know. Mitchell Robinson and KAT could destroy just by themselves -- KAT could keep firing the 3, and when he misses, Robinson grabs the rebound and throws it out to KAT for another 3, and so on...

Maybe, but if he's okay, I think I'd rather have him chasing KAT off the 3-point line. I don't want KAT to get hot and help the Knicks steal a game we should win. Jaden is questionable.

Ingles is out though for personal reasons. Let's hope we don't have any late game situations where we need someone to inbound the ball.

As expected, since Iowa does not play until after Christmas:

Timberwolves PR @Twolves_PR
NEWS:
@Timberwolves recall center Joan Beringer from G League affiliate @iawolves.

Minnesota additionally transfers forward Enrique Freeman and center Rocco Zikarsky from Iowa.

Jaden is OUT for tonight. But Beringer, Freeman and Zikarsky are available.

Could we have our Zikarsky debut tonight?!?

Naz probably starts tonight at SF, I think. Sunday Finchie went with just three bigs after Jaden went down. My guess is Miller might get 10+ minutes off the bench tonight, but we'll have to see. He's only played 38 minutes this year and none of them in meaningful situations, but I think most of us believe he's more ready to contribute than our Tall Teens.

Who moves into the starting lineup with OG and Brunson out? I'm guessing Kolek and Robinson (with Towns moving from C to PF). Kolek looked really good to me the one time I saw him this season, but his overall stats are not good.

Conley gets the start in place of McDaniels, just like the start of the 2nd half against the Bucks, which was terrible and resulted in a quick yank of Randle. Finch is stubborn as hell, and he's going to make that lineup work no matter what!

On another note, Rocco is listed as OUT, so no debut for him tonight. :(

I must admit, I am concerned that the Mitchell/KAT frontcourt will dominate the Rudy/Randle frontcourt, exposing our frontcourt weaknesses once again. We don’t have Jaden to help out, either.

Or am I just being a worrywart?
