Without looking, can anyone name 2 players that will be starting for the Pacers tonight? I know I can't. Including Mathurin who's no longer there, they will be missing at least their top 5 scorers this season plus McConnell. They're in a race for the bottom with the Wizards, and while they actually have 3 wins in their last 10, Siakam was available for the wins and he's not tonight. So not only is the game meaningless for the Wolves from a playoff positioning standpoint (the chance of the Suns catching us is remote), we're also playing a team with no incentive to win. Sounds like a real barn burner!
So I won't be watching this one. But if I did watch it, I'd be looking for the following: Can Naz and Donte re-discover their 3-point shot, can Ayo return to the player we saw in his triple double game, and can Julius continue the 2-way play we have seen recently? I think I can answer all those questions though by checking the box score later tonight and not waste a couple hours watching this one.
Okay, worst GDT start ever...my fault if the Pacers win.

With that sort of bombastic, enthusiastic lead in... I know I can't wait to watch this one on DVR later. I might need extra-strength NyQuil to get some sleep later after this barnburner.
Thanks FNG!!!

There ya go, Rudy! Dunk or Bust!
Re: Why watch this one? Pacers GDT
OK, I lied that I wasn't going to watch the game...just turned it on. Nice shooting! Don't like Ayo with 3 turnovers and no assists or rebounds though.
Re: Why watch this one? Pacers GDT
Love the guy and was totally on the "start him at PG next season" bandwagon after his triple double. But he's just not taking advantage of Ant's absence to lay claim to a starting spot next season. We need more from him off the bench in the playoffs.
Re: Why watch this one? Pacers GDT
Yeah, really disappointing. Could be just a rough stretch, but if he's not fast-breaking he is just so deferential in the half court offense and then seems to lack ideas when he has to create something himself.
Re: Why watch this one? Pacers GDT
Horton and JPete mentioned the Boston game but I also think the way Clark played in garbage time in the last game influenced Finch's decision to put him in early in this game. Garbage time matters to Finchie, even though he's stingy af with the minutes he affords for it!

Has Ayo really been that bad? Thirteen points and 3 rebounds?
