Granted, he's an elite game manager type, so he wouldn't fix the Wolves problem of having too few guys who can create for themselves. He's not a three-point shooter (which would be highly problematic on a team with Gobert). And I think he's too small for some matchups.

But other than that... Mrs. Lincoln really liked the play for only $8M.

Naturally many of us will focus on the usual suspects, for what's it's worth I don't have any interest in Ja or Kyrie and tbh am a little weary of White but he's likely a great candidate. Tre Jones would be great get, but not as a starter. Ball present the highest upside by far but he has so many bad loser habits that it's hard to trust for me.

I'll go with some of the unusual suspects here:

I've said it before, and I am by now means a stan of him but IQ might be the best consolation prize when you consider what the team needs. His contract is basically identical to Randle's, which means he's overpaid, BUT hes a really good shooter, is a legit ball handler, averaged 6 ast to 1.5 TOs, is an average or better defender and wouldn't present an ego problem (at least a far as I know, but I could be wrong). He's also probably actually available to get cause the shine seems to have worn off in Toronto.

Absolutely no one would love this move, but he immediately improves the spacing issues and is a better defender than Ju with consistent effort. I find it concerning that he had a 33% usage rate, can he and Ant co exist?

I doubt Memphis would move him but I've had my eye on Ty Jerome for a while and he'd be a good fit if Ant can step up defensively.

It would be kinda cool if the Wolves can snag Collier as a development guy as a part of a multi team trade.

Last. Would Jamal Murrary be desirable? Denver may be looking to shake things up this summer so this worth wondering if MN does a zag and get Murray. His contract is massive so it's probably not possible and I hate how bad of a defender he is and he's had more years as a playoff dropper now than riser.

Oh one more point. I've long thought Fox is too highly paid for the wolves to pursue, and I'd rather not do the Spurs any favors.

I have zero opinions on Quickley. I just don't know his game whatsoever and it seems like the couple times we've played Toronto he's either hurt or gone fairly unnoticed. He looks solid on paper.

Ty Jerome is more of a pure bucket-getter than play maker, but he can handle and pass the ball too. I see him as more of a 6th man instant offense type vs. a starter that can hold up against Western Conference playoff teams. He's one of these guys that just trundled along his first few years in the league and then - boom! - suddenly turned into this elite shot maker two seasons ago. It's just rare to see a guy in his age 27 season suddenly turn into an elite scorer like that. Reminds me a bit of Norm Powell in that regard.
