Well, it’s not a particularly exciting night for Wolves fans now that we’ve traded out of the 1st round. But I think it’s still interesting to watch as a basketball fan and you never know what might happen. Perhaps the Wolves will trade back into the first round or will be named as a pastry in a multi-team deal involving a first round pick.
So I thought it was worthwhile to start a separate thread devoted solely to tonight’s first round of the NBA draft. Go ahead and post thoughts, predictions, etc. as the night progresses.
Draft Night Thread - First Round
Re: Draft Night Thread - First Round
As I see it, the most interesting teams to watch tonight are those with multiple first round picks:
- Bulls 4, 15 (also have pick 38 in 2nd round)
- Grizzlies 3, 16 (also have pick 32 in 2nd round)
- Mavs 9, 30
- OKC 12, 17 (also have pick 37 in 2nd round)
- Hawks 8, 23
- Hornets 14, 18

Kings just got a lot better after drafting Acuff. He is the top PG on my board. Philon is the #2 PG on my board.
Re: Draft Night Thread - First Round
The Hawks no longer need Dyson Daniels. They now have Kingston Fleming. Hmm. Rudy for Dyson and Okongwu?
Re: Draft Night Thread - First Round
So far the ESPN mock draft is batting .1000.
Re: Draft Night Thread - First Round
Hmm... Dallas skipped over Yaxel. He's not gonna be happy his college coach passed on him!
Re: Draft Night Thread - First Round
Mavs on the clock at #9. They also have #30. The talking heads are talking about the Mavs’ need for a big. The Wolves have a great big.
