Slow Mo gone

Post by kekgeek »

Free agent forward Kyle Anderson has agreed to a one-year, $3.9 million deal with the Toronto Raptors, sources tell ESPN. Anderson enters his 13th NBA season providing depth to the Raptors roster, and reunites with former San Antonio teammate Kawhi Leonard.

Not that surprising. The word is the Wolves want a stretch 4 and that is not SloMo.

But I see we did sign Freeman to a new 2-way contract!

Yep no harm on doing freeman. Super easy to make changes on 2-ways

I would not surprise me, depending on how the season unfolds, that Freeman earns some regular minutes and is converted to a standard contract somewhere in-season.

I also expect Rocco to get a standard contract, quite possibly before the start of the season.

I still think they’ll keep Rocco in his two-ways and use the vet minimum to fill the 14th roster spot. That seems to make the most sense for maximizes the team’s assets.

As good as he was as a "connective tissue" guy and defensively, he was just such a killer on offense as a scorer. When he and Rudy were paired together last season (this is after we re-acquired him of course, so not a huge sample size) they had a defensive rating of 96.5, which is elite. But their offensive rating when on the floor together was 90.5, which is just horrid!

I liked Kyle but I’m glad he’s not coming back. If we’re going to add a non-shooter to the team, let’s add an athletic, high-energy rebounder like Jeremy Sochan. We don’t need Kyle’s connective tissue impact now that we have both LaMelo and Ayo.

In definitely upset about this! The only way Connelly can recover from this disaster of letting Anderson walk again is getting Lebron.

Like I've said a couple times in recent posts I can't quite Kyle Anderson. Lol he didn't fit in some ways but the guy is a valuable player and I also think that this team could have used him as a veteran presence too. Connelly originally signed him and it turned out to be a very smart move. I remember after he was reported to be a signing spending a little time learning about Anderson I was like dang he is even better than I thought. Hopefully Connelly can find a similar value signing or move this off-season.

This is all heresy!!!

Except Souchan lol Idk if he fits if they are gonna go for someone that can shoot. He might be that value signing though. We will find out what Connelly can find.

Yeah, he needed to show a lot more in his brief stint with the Wolves last season to warrant being brought back. I thought he might be back, but it’s not surprising he went elsewhere.
