Denver winning bode well for Vikes?

Post by Porckchop »

I thought it was encouraging so see a team constructed with a defense first attitude. The Vikes are essentially doing the same, We have a ho hum qb, ho hum Wrs and a rb that I don't trust to hold on to the ball. If they can improve just a bit more offensively and the defense continues to improve by leaps and bounds maybe we too can buck the trend in an offense first league.

The potential is there, but there is a huge difference between the pressure Miller and Ware put on a team and what the Vikes do. I like the youths potential, but don't know that they'll ever be as unstoppable as that Denver tandem.

It gives a lot of teams hope. Lol

Seattle has been doing the same thing (built on a defense) for years but they also had a beast RB and a QB that could extend play but it was the defense that was that team. That team changed this year because they had to.

The Broncos D was pretty insane though. But what they did with what little the offense brought to the table has to make teams without a great option at QB think they have a chance teams like the Rams Texans Etc etc who have some good defenses might be able to make something work. The Vikings fit into that mold also.
