I like Robison, but this is going to be his last year in the NFL. How about Robison/2ndorconditional1st for Bosa? Expand the trade out if they can agree on other players on the other team they like? Can Mitch Leidner sleep knowing Bosa is that close?

I was just reading about the Bosa situation today. To put it simply Even though it's more complicated I t's weird. I don't see the Chargers making that deal. I would assume they would rather just fold on everything they have been demanding Bosa accepts than basically sell low on the guy they wanted very badly in the draft but whatevs.

Yes, i would do any deal for both gordon and bosa. Heck i would give our first next year for bosa, will be late and we get a great young top pick. Then i would deal patterson and a 3rd for gordon. Think we have a legit chance at greatness this year with our d and hopefully an improved o line. Get on the phone spielman.

I am worried about Teddy and the OL. I would certainly trade a 1st for Bosa. Not sure how he fits in with our current DE's, but he would be a good talent at this point and would think someone can slide inside on passing downs.

Well that went off the rails fast. I think SD would trade Bosa to get at least something for him. Yes, if he sits the year he is really gambling with his career, but isn't SD's gamble just as large?

I am not, nor have I ever, suggesting that SD will trade any of 30 guys because of this issue. {90's reference alert} When Gary Zimmerman refused to ever play for the Vikes again, did they trade him to DEN, or did they trade THIRTY GUYS to DEN?

I highly doubt this is Robison's last year in the NFL lol, even before this season's solid start he has aged like fine wine, any speed lost has been replaced by his play recognition and ability to play unorthodox roles, I see him do all kinds of weird shit like randomly playing MLB, hell during the Packers game he suddenly switched out onto a receiver with like 5 seconds left on the play clock and it threw Rodgers off.

I think people forget Robison has always been his own sort of freak athlete. Here are some combine and pro day numbers. Remember he was a top NCAA shot put guy and could have pursued that if he didn't have football to do. This defense probably fits what he is good both skill wise and physically at as well as any defense he has ever played in.

I didn't read the link and I believe everything you say, but did guys really walk away from the NFL 10 or 11 years ago to shot-put? Now, maybe, with what is known about concussions, but 10 years ago?

1. Way to run right over to your computer and respond 4 weeks later. What was the plan? Wait and see if he had a debilitating injury and then slam Spielmann for not making that deal while making it seem like your idea?

2. So the 4th highest paid defensive player on a playoff contender makes a good play, so, what, a lifetime deal? Good thing you never saw Keith Millard in 1987 or the Vikes would still be paying on that.

3. He is going to be 34 in April. He makes $6.6m in 2017, with only $1m being dead. A ton of examples of that happening? For a guy who was never an all-pro and not a skill position player or a kicker/punter?

4. And it stands today, if the cap does not go up (which happens sometimes), they only have $12m in cap room. True, that number jumps to $30m if they walk away from AP, but I'm sure they'll have free agents to sign, and I'm sure they'll want to improve as well. Still not a great O-line.

Maybe not, but he had him rated ahead of Treadwell, which means the vikes would end up with two of the best 23 prospects for a first (Treadwell) and a conditional first or second (Bosa) with the deal I suggested. I have never posted on the Vikings board until now and I didn't even mention Bosa so I don't know why you are adding even more talking points. Quite an odd and aggressive post right out of the gate from you lol, anyways I never mentioned a lifetime deal, I never mentioned a pay raise so I don't know why you are talking about the cap. The basic idea is now that he doesn't get so many snaps like he used to he will sign for less so he can continue his career and retire with the same team.

He's still productive, bought into the scheme to sacrifice stats as Zimmer has said multiple times, and he likes it here. All I'm saying is that I don't think we would let someone go who still plays well and won't command a lot of money. The rest of your pompous post you can shove up your ass as it doesn't apply to what I said, I don't care about Bosa hence why I never mentioned him until you fabricated an attack on yourself.
