Sano

I have to admit I was stunned this morning to read in the Strib that Antony says Sano has a chance of breaking camp with the Twins. I haven't seen this thrown out as a possibility before, and it makes spring training a little more exciting. Basically he lays out a scenario where Sano blows up and Plouffe is underwhelming, and the Twins are forced to play Sano. Plouffe has come to camp with more muscle packed on, and personally I would prefer that he flash his 2012 power and allow Sano one more year of seasoning, but still it will be fun to see this play out.

That's what I've been thinking, jester, but it's interesting that Antony opened the door a little. It seems to me that he's on record now, and if Sano has a huge spring while Plouffie struggles, he almost has to start Sano on opening day. I think the comment was a rookie mistake by Antony, and Terry Ryan was probably on the phone chewing him out as soon as he read it.
