Is there anyway the Raptors do a DLO and some change for Fred VanFleet swap. Fred's having a down year shooting and I've always liked him as PG. He just wins at every level he's ever played in.

I also like FVF, the issue is the financials, the raptors would need to add approximately 8 million to make the trade work. Thad Young would be the play but I think FVF is straight better than Dlo so the raptors would have to consider it a straight contract dump and I would be surprised if they did that

At this point I'd rather ship out Gobert...what happened to the unstoppable defensive force?!? Did the game evolve or is he on the decline? Maybe Utah would take him back for Kessler and some change?

I think he was pretty darn good defensively tonight. I mean Jokic has his lowest FG% of the year tonight. Gobert primary assignment of Gordon was 4/18 (was shooting 60% on the year coming in) and Murray literally ran out of bounds late because he didn't want to contest Rudy.

Rudy has not been Utah levels good but the wolves are still only good over large stretch defensively when Rudy is on the court

Yeah, not sure why people don't see this. We would be an absolute train wreck as a team on defense if he wasn't on the roster right now.

They have to figure out how to be better offensively with him on the floor. Whether that means involving him more, less, or the same....I have not a clue. But they just haven't been as good as they should be offensively with him on the floor.

I looked up some of the advanced defensive statistics on Rudy this year, and your not wrong Kek. But he isn't at the top or in a tier above the rest, which is what I thought we were getting when we paid so much to get him. He just doesn't pass the eye test as he did in years past in Utah. And his offense outside of lobs is so atrocious, but that's not the point. I guess I have some buyers remorse on this one.

DLO and Naz for Young and FVF works in the trade machine

We aren't trading DLO and letting McGlaughlin take the reigns. Jmac is a decent change of pace backup, but he's way too much of a defensive liability to play more than 15-20 minutes.

I know there's a lot of discontent with DLO (as their was with Wiggins, and the exact same language is used to describe them both), but the fact is, DLO isn't preventing us from consistent effort and play.

I'll take bets on whether DLO is still with us come playoff time.

I agree Jmac is not the full time answer. Like I posted earlier it is reckless speculation but Dlo unfollowed the wolves on all social media and then missed a game for being sick. It's interesting to say the least

I think we need to look at it a bit differently. The question isn't as much about a one for one replacement, with Jmac taking the reigns as a starter. I think he could continue being the excellent backup he has been.

The real question is whether you can field a starting lineup that can win without having a natural PG. Can Kyle Anderson help fill that void like he did last night? Could Rivers or Nowell start? What happens when KAT gets back?

I guess my view is that DLO is not necessarily required for us to get to the next level of winning, but he's also not the anchor he's made out to be by some folks here. There are definite tradeoffs with moving on from him, but they kind of end up as a wash in my book. That's a lot of money to pay for a neutral asset!

That was also after a 45 minute player only meeting too. My take- Players are sick of his half ass effort. He said fine trade me.

D'Angelo Russell is no longer on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against Portland. Maybe, just maybe, the guy actually had an illness or personal issue to take care of. That doesn't mean he can't or won't get traded at some point, but who knew we had Judd Zulgad and Phil Mackey on the board with their reckless speculation bit? Good one.

Additionally, Naz Reid is still considered questionable with back spasms, but Taurean Prince has gone from out to questionable with his shoulder injury. With the team sending Wendell Moore Jr. back to Iowa recently, and Prince reportedly participating more in practice, he might be a surprise tomorrow night.

Good news about Prince. Hopefully there is little to no rust on that shot.
