Posts - KAT/KL/JV/WK/NR/(Prince or Monroe or Knight) - My choice would be Prince on a VetMin deal because of his versatility. One of the better One-thru-Six groups in the league. Championship caliber.
Wings - AE/JMD/MB/WMJ/LB/JN - The hope here for me is that JMD/WMJ/LB have REALLY strong training camps so MIN can package MB/TheirMLEsigning/picks for wing or point help.
Points - PB/JML - Wow. This is where MIN could spend their MLE. Tyus? Blonde Ricky? Or should they do something before 7/1 for MB/TradeExcep/Picks and then use the MLE on a Wing? And shoutout to Kahn/Flip/whoever's idea it was to get Blonde Ricky for James Johnson for recognizing Tyus and Blonde Ricky's, um, "greatness".
FWIW It would be a lot easier to read your posts if you could actually write out the players instead of just initials.
lol. What, you can't memorize 15 names?
I've been wanting to pay you a complement for a few weeks now. Just like rewatching "The Godfather" or relistening to "Nevermind", but for very different reasons, I decided to reread the 2020 NFL Draft thread during rounds four thru seven of the '22 draft. Again, a "masterpiece". If Al Gore would have known that that is what the internet was going to be used for, he never would have bothered. Funny story: Everyone except, you, Kahns, and Graycat DELETED their comments. If I would have known that's how people on this board roll, I would have "quoted" each of the "really good" comments, or better yet, printed a hardcopy and scanned to a flashdrive and "paperclipped" it whenever one of the "Doctors" involved had another "contribution" about some other sports (or, gulp, nonsports) topic. I mean "all of the SEC corners sucked this year"?!!? To quote Dave Chapelle: "Really? All of them?" I don't say it so you go and delete yours. Your comments were for the most part even-keel. I just think it's cool that it never crossed your mind. I would like to think that I wouldn't have deleted mine, but it's been a long time since I've been THAT wrong about something, so who knows.
That being said, if you have any comments on the "OT America" thread that tend to go along with the vibe, I would lose those. I'm not going to reread it because I could feel my soul dying the one time I did read. I wouldn't want anyone to know that that is how I felt. A man being choked to death over a (real or counterfeit) $20 bill is way worse than the Vikings losing a road playoff game (Which was totally Spielmann's fault. Zimmer, you and your super-cool son were in no way responsible.).
Keep up the good work.
Thanks. I don't plan to delete any comments.
I guess since you asked me a question I'll ask one too. Can't you type out a few more letters? That's not hard either right? Some of the time you add additional letters that don't make sense at first if you haven't ever read them in that context. It's up to you what you want to do I'm just saying that typing out makes or at least some nickname like DLO would be easier to read.
I can work on that. Sometimes I'm rushing because I want to go accomplish something. Maybe I need to be like "You know what? Maybe everyone will survive until I can take a full minute to get my point across."
Where would that leave the Wolves Financially? Would they be able to sign another PG?
Idk how you guys do it NBA contract rules are so crazy but I guess trying to teach someone arbitration rules in baseball is nightmare as well.
Trading for Rudy Gobert's contract would be a very significant commitment and one that would, in my opinion, hinder some of the moves they could make in the future. The front office would have to be completely sold on what a Karl-Anthony Towns and Gobert duo in the frontcourt could achieve. I like zigging when other teams zag, but that's a lot of cap allocated to the interior. It'd be more fun to try it out on NBA 2K than in real life.
Ha! The NBA salary cap makes more sense once you read through enough CBA FAQ pages. Constantly answering your own questions in the process. And at least MLB arbitration and free agency rules have somewhat simplified a bit from where they used to be. That used to be a real nightmare.
Well, then I sure hope Chicago gets him. Gobert has four years left on his deal (the 4th a player option) at 38.1M, 41.0M, 43.8M and 46.6M. That's insane and ridiculous for a one-way player like Gobert - no matter how good he is defensively. It's ridiculous even before you consider the assets the Wolves would need to give up to get him. Because it seems so nuts, I don't believe the Wolves are genuinely interested in Gobert. I have to believe this is some of typical speculative inferential reporting - i.e., the Wolves front office wants to pair KAT with a defensive big; therefore, they must be interested in Gobert.

A move like this would be nothing short of idiotic. It has to be a joke or something lol

Zach Lowe also mentioned last Friday wolves have legit interest in gobert. So I don't think this is random speculation
So where are we at with the DLO trade possibilities?
First, the possible destinations for DLO are diminishing. The Wizards just acquired Monte Morris. The Clippers are going to sign Jon Wall. The Knicks will reportedly end up signing Brunson (although that's not a sure thing). Oh, and the Hawks now have a PG to pair with Trae Young.
Second, Brogdon is still being shopped and Tyus Jones remains a free agent who's highly regarded around the league.
With fewer teams still in need of a PG, and quality PGs like Brogdon and Tyus Jones still available, the chances of trading DLO seem lower than they were before. Actually, the chances seem really low. However, it seems that PGs are pretty highly valued around the League right now as reflected in what the Hawks just gave up for Murray and what the Knicks are reportedly going to offer Brunson. So who knows
It's been reported that the Wolves are exploring a deal for Gobert that would involve DLO. I could see the Jazz wanting DLO. I really hope no such deal happens because I don't want this team to take on Gobert's salary. I'll be really unhappy if we give up anything other than DLO and Naz to get Gobert.
