Drew - You're violating the instruction to focus exclusively on whether the Wolves should do the deal, not whether the other team would be inclined to do it. :). But your rule violation has raised an interesting question that cries out of ra response.
I don't think those proposals undervalue Thybulle. Some on this Board might say that Thuybille is just another version of Okogie ant that the Sixers deals overvalue Thybulle. I actually think the Beverley deal is a no-brained for the Sixers and that they'd jump at it. Beverley would give them the defense they need in the absence of Thybulle, but much better offensive production than Thybulle. He'd also give them and edge and a vet presence they won't get from Thybulle next season. And the Sixers would get the bonus of jettisoning Green's dead weight contract. If any team is in a full win-now as it RIGHT NOW mode, it's the Sixers. Getting Beverley for Thybulle and the 23rd pick while getting rid of a dead-weight $10 contract would be a great win-now move them them.
The Beasley deal is a closer call for the Sixers in my view. They'd definitely be taking a step back defensively. But they'd be adding an elite 3-point shooter to replace Danny Green. And we know, Beasley also brings other things to the table like rebounding, running the floor and overall athleticism. He's still young enough to have upside and has a team-friendly contract. I think the Beasley deal would be tempting to them. They obviously like Thybulle but honestly we don't know what we have yet in Thybulle. How much better is he than Okogie? I don't think the answer to that is clear.
