Isn't Proceida a stash guy? Does POR need stash guys?

One of them will likely wind up as a two-way player for Minnesota. Another should be a stash prospect. That third pick can either be used to trade up in the second round, dealt for a future pick, or used on another body they want to get a better look at in training camp.

Cam - Do you really think the Wolves will carry three rookies on their roster? Maybe. But that seems unlikely to me.

I'd expect one of these second-round picks to wind up being on a two-way deal for Minnesota next season, yes. That along with their two first-round picks.

Lip, almost all your guys were taken by 19!

I have a hard time believing the Wolves couldn't have traded up a spot of two at a reasonable price to get Dalen Terry. Using a 1st round pick on Kessler strikes me as a wasted pick. We have an immediate need for a big that can be filled through free agency. I think there were MUCH BETTER prospects available, including Ty Ty. I like the Moore pick, but i haven't seen anything tonight that justifies the unprecedented compensation package the Wolves gave Connelly. I'm not proclaiming him the village idiot. But his first real test here has been s disappointment so far.

Would you have been ok with Mark Williams at 22?

Yes. I think Williams is a lot better than Kessler. But I'm not alone in holding that view

I've read your posts for a while and I think you'll come around on Kessler in a day or too. I think it was a good pick. He's got nice mobility for a guy his size and it seems like his shot might have potential. He has an elite skill at the next level and I like that.

Dammit. I was really hoping Gabriele Procida would last a bit longer. On another note, what a haul for Detroit. They leave the draft with Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren, and Procida. Have yourself a night, Troy Weaver.
