But alas, Adrien is gone, so both are going to get plenty of playing time the rest of the way and all we can hope for is improvement. I guess your guy Hummel is the "stick" Flip will use when Bennett is not playing the right way.

Real funny! :)

Isn't Hummel more of a wet noodle then a stick?

Guys, can we all agree on one thing - That CoolBreeze is the Truth? I think we should use that as our foundation and go from there.

BB reference has Bennett listed at 22.6 to 12.7 for Dreb%. Mikkeman took two specific lineups, but if one guy is getting less minutes with that group, wouldn't it show up in team defense? The added missed shots don't really help if we aren't getting the rebounds, and those steal attempts seem to end up in layups more often than not. It is to the point that Gorgi is doubling on thad's man almost immediately.

SJM, The defensive rating metric normalizes on a per 100 possession basis, so that it compares apples to apples, regardless of minutes played. So if Bennett's defensive rebounding translates to better overall defense, it would still show up in a better D-rating than Thad even though he is playing fewer minutes. Per 100 possessions also accounts for pace of play, so it's even more accurate than looking at things on a per minute basis, where a player may be advantaged by playing at a much faster pace (therefore more makes, more misses, more rebounds, more assists, etc.).
