Re: Shabazz Expelled From NBA Rookie Transition Program
Drip, drip, drip........ you don't want to be in the news this time of year. One guy got sent packing. In fact I can't ever remember a player getting sent home from this event. As a stand alone transgression it won't define his career. But it's just another drip that only seems to happen to people with dubious character like Muhammad and Johnny Football. I hope he's embarrassed, he should be.

It shows the guy isnt too bright. Atleast find a way to not get caught. I would imagine a group of young men with new found fame and fortune are using that to their fullest advantage. Chances are he isnt the only one banging a girl or two while going thru the program.. But be smart enough not to bring her back to your room if that rule is in place! Dangn get creative with it. A club bathroom, the back of a limo.. Something!

It's more that bazz has had an unearned sense of entitlement He thinks he's above the rules so to speak.
But really if Adelman didn't want to deal with Dwill for the most part, theres no way he's putting up with bazz.

What a dumb rule. We are trying to help you transition to manhood but no girls in your room. F the NBA for this stupid rule.

Wild -- You're right about one thing. I will definitely bring this up in every game report following a poor performance by Shabazz. :). Unfortunately, I suspect there will be a lot of them.
I agree with the consensus in this thread that this isn't a morality issue but rather a judgment issue. It shows incredibly poor judgment, probably stemming from an absurd unjustified level of arrogance. It is very McCants like. Sorry to say, but I have no doubt this is the tip of the iceberg. We'll see more and more "incidents" from him over the next couple years. It might be a repeat of his antics at UCLA when failed to join his teammates in celebrating a team win just because he wasn't the one who made the winning shot. Or it might be a locker room fight with a veteran teammate who didn't pass him the ball when he had what he thought would have been an open shot. Or it might be a refusal to run a play as designed because he saw what he thought was a better opportunity for his own shot.
It will likely be a string of these or similar antics over time because that's who he is. And in a couple years, Flip will be desperately looking for some other team to take him off our hands. Meanwhile, CJ McCollum's career will be blossoming. We have to hope that Dieng will come through for us.
By the way -- ESPN gave the Wolves a C- for their off-season moves this summer. I'd give Flip a better grade than that, but the Shabazz pick remains a big drag on Flip's grade in my book.

I bet Oladipo narced him out that turncoat.

Shabazz has a girlfriend. She is a really hot blonde. I saw her at his press conference. I wonder if she was the one he brought back to his room. If not, he's about to have a ex-girlfriend. :)
Re: Shabazz Expelled From NBA Rookie Transition Program
The real question is how do you get caught for this. Someone told on him. Unless this chick was a plant by the NBA to test the players on what they should expect in the future. If that was the case then he is a dumbass for falling for it. But this rule was made to be broken.
