I think the issue with Irving and Durant is whether they are coachable under ANY model. Someone who suffocates them (like a Thibs) definitely wouldn't work, but if you use more of the light-touch facilitator approach, does the team eventually descend into chaos?
It should be fun watching Brooklyn this season!
My favorite quote from Irving...
"We don't need someone to come in with their coaching philosophy and change everything we're doing."
Ummm... Irving and Durant haven't even played together yet.

Irving has been clutch in the playoffs...But hasn't been healthy enough to play for 2 seasons.

I thought that was hilarious. I'll be bold here and predict that the Brooklyn Nets will never win a championship with Durant and Irving - unless they're able to acquire LeBron or Harden.

Nah they will win but Kyrie will be hurt and Dinwiddie and Lavert will play well. Lol I still think they may regret the whole Durant Kyrie Jordan and dumping Atkinson situation. We will see.
D'Antoni took the easiest assist job in the NBA. If the Nets don't need a hard coach their assistants really won't have to do anything. Lol in all seriousness getting D'Antoni there is a pretty big assistant hire.
