Jokic deserves tons of credit for his advancements in the last few years. He looks great and is playing great. Love his game.

After watching more Jokic it really makes me wonder what KAT could become with the right influential coach. Jokic properly balances working from different points on the floor and only leaking out to the 3 pt line at opportune times. KAT as it has always been needs a more balanced approach to his offense.

Also as an aside, Ingles on Murray was a huge mistake. Joe was lost all game.

Nice start to these playoffs.

To be fair, the Jazz are starting somebody named Juwan Morgan in the playoffs. The guy has played 121 minutes in his entire NBA career.

Jordan Clarkson played 39 minutes for chrissakes.

The team needs its depth back. I'm guessing Snyder was going with the sage known commodity and hoping for the best vs. a guy taking a bunch of long stepbacks.

Yeah theyre in a pickle. I still dont understand how Mitchell's speed doesnt translate into a better cover for Murray than Ingles. As for Clarkson, I cant really think of a player I would want on my team less. He is troy hudsons twin.

It's a lot to ask of Mitchell to be the only real offensive threat... and then add that defensive assignment too.

Murray runs hot and cold. He was hitting some ridiculously difficult shots late in that game.

[Note: I really really disliked Troy Hudson's game. Pick-and-roll into a 21 foot jump shot EVERY time.]

Clarkson's value is whether or not he makes shots. This season he is making them especially from 3. Hudson would have LOVED to shoot as well as Clarkson overall In there careers. It's not even close... To me Clarkson can have value (Although ai agree with him being maddening) as a bench scorer. From what I have heard I've the lasT couple years his defense sucks but a team like Utah who doesn't exactly have scorers and has defenders otherwise he probably makes some sense for them. It's not like they have some other amazing options. They are already playing guys in the playoffs many fans probably didn't even know existed.

So happy to see the Blazers beat the Lakers in game 1 of their series. I was pulling for Portland to claim the 8th spot in the playoffs because I saw them as the one potential 8th place team that could beat the Lakers in a series. Tonight's game was a good start. I typically pull for the underdog anyway, but I would take even greater satisfaction from the underdog Blazers knocking off the Lakers in the opening series.

I just watched that 36 foot 3 Lilliard hit late in the game. This was not a high scoring game and melo played what 38 minutes?

Meanwhile the Magic beat the Bucks easily which was a surprise and then I looked at the box score. Is Aaron Gordon hurt too? They started Gary Clark who took 15 shots all 3's and made 4 of them. Vucevic had a heck of a game. The bubble is wild and I haven't watched any of it.

I hadn't watched, or followed, hardly anything... until the Portland vs. Brooklyn game.

Dame Lillard is too compelling for me not to watch right now. It reminds me a little bit of 2005 or 2006. I was a busy man and the NBA was just not top of mind like it had been. The game was a bit stale. Almost boring. Then... Steve Nash and the 7 Seconds or Less Suns arrived. Everything changed.

KAT should be the greatest PnR big in the history of basketball based on his skill set but 1) he sets shitty screens and 2) he almost always fades to the 3 point line rather than mixing it up between diving the hoop, fading to the 3pt line or even just dropping to the elbow.
