Harrell's comments directed at Luka
Re: Harrell's comments directed at Luka
Was it Kobe that once looked at the Wolves bench and said you better get this white guy off me or I'm gonna score 50? Don't remember the number.

I think most people just want consistency regardless of whether or not they are offended by x, y, or z. That's all it comes down to. Pick a set of rules or standards and maintain them through different circumstances. The NBA and its players cannot have "Black Lives Matter" painted on the court, promoted on T-shirts, etc. to raise awareness for racial equality and then on the other hand belittle others with the use of race. I'm not offended by the comment itself, but I'm extremely annoyed at the inconsistencies.

Who was guarding him, Wally?
I'm sure on avg in the NBA the white guys have heard more shit then they can count. My only issue with the BLM is that it may slightly refer to everyone as racist. When the real problem is the select few cops and judges in each county or state. And enough talk, where is the action. We get it, some cops are racist. I do truly get it. Action is what we need not talk.

Im still failing to see the actual inconsistency that people keep referring to. Everyone on this thread seems to be talking about their annoyance to what they feel would be the NBA's response to a hypothetical situation where a white player said a racial epithet on the court. The closest recent incident was Steven Adams calling Draymond and Klay monkeys and there was no punishment to him.
What are the actual instances that parallel this situation that the NBA or the media has messed up on?
People have brought up china here, but that has nothing to do with US racial issues. But even on that the NBA ended up backing Morey (albeit in a weak way) and losing some real money over his political stance.

This ^^^^
If we didn't have double standards we'd have no standards at all anymore.

Except that isn't what was said, but don't let that get in the way of a great story!

PATIENCE.
If you really really really hate Trump... simply be more careful picking-and-choosing your spots. One case of something like this that could possibly be proven wrong... ends up trumping dozens of other cases when he legitimately might deserve criticism.
People haven't learned in 4+ years.
You have all the ammunition -- don't simply give it to the other side before you get to use it.

I agree, he gives people more than enough ammo and yet they cannot help themselves and make it up as they go along. People are so addicted to the outrage they go into withdrawals after just a few minutes without.

My mistake. I saw Dopers post then saw the the Dolt45 headline. I was a little jumpy. How could Twitter be wrong like that?
