Sam Mitchell casually threw out an anecdote about how in 2016 when he was with the Wolves him and Denver's assistant GM at the time Calvin Booth were both high on drafting Jamal Murray. He said that they both liked his potential and that he was a younger prospect. He then notes that the following regime that pushed him out of Minnesota wanted Kris Dunn and that was that. Denver winds up with Murray. It's obviously a lot easier to say that with hindsight at your disposal, and Mitchell strikes me as a guy that can be full of shit at times, but just thought it would be worth sharing here.
That's an interesting thing to hear even though yeah Sam likes to talk... lol I think we have discussed that Murray seemed like a guy Flip would have drafted

Not if he gets a long-term deal. Something like 4/80 would make sense.
Seems fair and an opportunity to by low. But also seems like it could be a huge risk at the same time. I hope it turns around for Hayward and he plays and is healthy for 4 years.
Going after Jae Crowder with the MLE and a starting position might be Gersson Rosas' best and only hope for the four spot at this point. I could get behind that. No rumors or any reporting, but I'm just looking at the available guys out there on the market and he definitely stands out.
What about going after Nerlens Noel? Cheap defensive 4? I cant imagine it would take much to sign him but feel like he would be a nice under the radar signing. What do you guys think? How much you think it would it take to sign him?

He doesn't fit the system, according to my sources.
Did anyone really talk much about that Dallas got Josh Richardson and #36 for Seth Curry? That's quite a bit of value and Curry might actually be worth it. I've been a big Seth Curry fan for years now (wanted us the sign him multiple times) and I feel even more validated at this point. Lol
