Durant, harden and Irving are all terrible defenders. That's where three and D guys come in around them

I was curious about a couple things so I looked up NBA's hustle stats. Guess which 2 Timberwolves consistently were at the top of various categories like deflections grabbing loose balls and charges taken per 36 mins. It's McLaughlin and Vanderbilt. Is that significant? Probably not a huge thing but it's interesting.

Towns is pretty far down the list of guys when it comes to screen assists. He played 1639 minutes last year and had just 171. Meanwhile Ed Davis had 63 in only 299 mins. I still think the screen game is something that Towns can improve (I think he was better last year) but it's not just about the big. Embiid only had 145 screen assists last year.

All I'm saying is don't mortgage your future and trade a legit high end starter (McDaniel) in the making for a completely flawed "star" that has major flaws. If we can get him for Beasley, prince, layman and some protected firsts it's interesting as long as we can stay out of luxury tax hell (not easy with his paycheck).

Draymond Green is pretty close. And I do think the fact that Simmons can handle the ball, find open guys, and finish efficiently around the paint counts for something on offense.

Definitely the closet example in today's NBA. I feel like you can get that for less money (my humble opinion).

Uh, I wouldn't call Durant a terrible defender. His length can be very disruptive and he can get it done in the playoffs.

And by the way, those three might all be in the top 15 of all-time great one on one players. I mean, Durant has to be one of the best two or three pure scorers to ever play the game. While DLO, KAT, and Ant are good offensively, they definitely aren't in the league of that trio.

That's why a Simmons-DLO swap kind of makes sense for both teams. The Sixers get a highly skilled shot maker that will create even more space for Embiid and the Wolves add a guy that can defend.

Yep, Q. I've always thought a DLO/Simmons swap would serve the interests of both teams. I never thought it was feasible before Morey overplayed his hand. But Morey has a flawed player on his hands who will hold out until he's traded. Morey has very little leverage. The Wolves would still have to give up more than DLO, but in my view, not a lot more. If I were Rosas, I'd offer DLO, Bolmaro, and their choice of Jaylen Nowell, Josh Okogie, or Jake Layman. I'd add two of our three 2022 2nd-round picks, our 2023 1st-round pick (unprotected) and maybe a 2024 1st-round pick swap.

Never said they were in same league. Just using example. Agree to disagree. I'd take DLO and all the assets we'd have to give up over Simmons any day of the week and twice on Sunday
