Don't look now but the Wolves are only 4 back of the division lead and the 4 seed. Jazz are 4-12 in their last 16. Wolves have a top 5 easiest schedule remaining in the NBA while Jazz have the 10th hardest

Man, and we will get DLO back for it.

Playoffs here we come!

We should at least go 4-2 over this next 6 game stretch. Anything less will be a huge disappointment.

Still think this team needs a wing though.

Minnesota got better after that trade the moment they cleared enough money under the luxury tax threshold to re-sign Jarred Vanderbilt. Getting a second-round pick and improved play out of Taurean Prince is just a cherry on top.

Didn't even think about they used the money they saved to sign Vando.

Some of that money under the tax was used when they acquired Beverly. It's really too bad Rubio got hurt.

Yeah, really interesting to see how it's all worked out. He was a possible solution for us at PF, but he's just so......meh. I mean, there is nothing he is particularly great at and nothing he is particularly awful at. I prefer Jarred Vanderbilt's merchant of chaos routine.....and much less expensive!

I do think Gordon helps more than what some of the basic stats suggest but yeah I just didn't understand giving up what the Nuggets did for him. You bring up Vanderbilt and his co tract and his current play was sort of why ai thought signing him this offseason was a possible of deal. Guys that can bring something and can play PF have just had a lot of value on the market around the league the past couple years and I see that continuing for a while at least. Vanderbilt turns 23 in April. I'd imagine that if you floated his name out there right now the offers would be pretty strong for what he brings along with that contract. The Wolves obviously aren't gonna be moving him though.

Another somewhat surprising win! I still see Denver on the schedule and assume they are a top tier and yet they really are not but still a pretty good one. It's great to see other guys continue to step up. This is another game that shows the Wolves are an actual good team not just a team that looks intriguing some nights.

Yeah, impressive couple of games here. But....there is always a but.....it's almost depressing to be staring up in the standings at Denver and they are without their second best player (Jamaal Murray) and another key piece in Michael Porter, Jr. And they have one of the best big men to ever play the game in Jokic. Last night he practically slept-walked his way to a triple double.

Then you have the Clippers, who are without two HoFers in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

The point isn't to diminish the good play of the Wolves but to highlight the fact we can't let up in trying to find ways to keep improving. A healthy Western Conference is absurdly stacked.

Couldn't you argue those teams are more set up to endure these type of injuries with all there playoff experiences? This wolves team is still super young and I would argue still learning how to win. The two teams you brought up have already been through those growing pains.

I might need to avoid watching more games.

The Wolves are on a pretty good streak when I don't watch. I missed the Memphis blowout and a couple of others.

Again... apologies.

[Note: 45 - 37 finish. Will that be enough to land the coveted 6 seed?]

I hope for a 4-6 seed, but I will be happy with anything 4-10. Just playing meaningful basketball would be a gift, and this team when hot, healthy, and playing with grit and energy has a chance to beat any team.
