I was watching on delay and just caught up to real-time as it was ending. I don't always do it that way depending on what I have going on, but it's nice because you can just skip the commercials, fast forward through the free throws, stoppages, etc.

Great win against a reeling Utah team. These guys managed to largely avoid the covid and injury bug earlier in the season, but now it's caught up to them. Well, too effing bad!

- I always get a kick watching Hassan Whiteside. He is the most indifferent NBA player I've ever seen. Looks like he'd rather be anywhere else but playing basketball! His demeanor reminds me of Jay Cutler when he was QB for the Bears. But his sheer size keeps him on the floor.

- Jaden McDaniels with by far his most impressive offensive performance of the season. Literally made everything! But also made some great cuts and decisive drives to the hoop. When his 3 is going in, it looks very pure. Not sure why he's struggled so much from out there this season.

- Just a clinical game from KAT, especially in the 3rd quarter where he just completely took over. Good to see the best player on the floor for either team dominate.

- I thought Edwards looked pretty sloppy tonight. He made some really pretty drives, but then fell back on his pull up 3, which wasn't going in, and made some dumb passes. Was solid defensively.

- Beasley....smh....just can't seem to conjure up a string of good games. Yet another brickfest for the most part from him.

- McLaughlin is pesky, but boy, he is easy to get past. Allowed easy dribble penetration multiple times.

- Does Lip still attend games or did he dump his season tickets? We don't seem to hear from him much anymore. That's really too bad.

Go Wolves!

Imagine a Timberwolves team that wins the games that it should win. Thank you Chris.Finch for bringing the NBA to Minnesota!

A Wolves win and a Laker loss. It's always a good day.

The January stats are impressive considering the teams we played over that stretch

Taurean Prince's per game numbers in his last 28 games:

16.5 MIN, 6.1 PTS (48.0 FG% / 39.5 3P% / 80.0 FT%), 2.3 REB, 1.0 AST, -0.7 plus-minus

The Timberwolves went 16-12 in those games. As we know, Minnesota is a much better team overall when they get contributions from the bench. Prince's turnaround is starting to feel real and, as I said last night, could factor into the front office's trade deadline plans. This is definitely something to keep an eye on, I think.
