Apparently, Evan Turner and Jake Layman aren't enough. Although reluctant at first, I think I might be willing to include Juancho in the deal. I hate to lose that guy, but if that's what it takes to get James Harden here then I guess that's what Rosas will have to do. Nevertheless, I'll understand if there's a lot of resistance to that idea on this message board.

I know they are holding out for Adding an Aaron Brooks sign and trade and the rights to BOTH Paulao Prestes and Henk Norel but I'm gonna make it look like that's too much before caving to their demands.

I'm sure the Rockets are wanting an absolute haul for Harden if they deal him. They should. For some reason Harden wants out. Expanding his list is just a classic part of the playbook to make things more interesting...or simply a report of teams that likely checked in and did some actual interest to see what it would take.

I think Harden is expanding his list because he really wants out and the teams he preferred the most showed little if any interest in giving Houston what they expect in return. It's a waiting game now. At some point, a top tier team that's underperforming a quarter or half way into the season might bite the bullet and over a lot for Harden. But so far, the teams Harden wants to end up on are doing well without him and aren't interested in his attitude, poor defense or ball-dominant style.

The Nets and Sixers look good and I see little chance that either of those two teams will show any interest in acquiring Harden. I don't see the Celtics trading for Harden even though they're struggling a bit out of the gate. Right now, I'd say the Nuggets, Warriors and Blazers are the three most likely landing spots for Harden.

The Nuggets won't give up Jokic, but the question is whether they'd be willing to give up Murray. If not, could they get Harden for a package of Porter Jr., Will Barton, Harris and future picks?

Along with the Nuggets, the Blazers have been mentioned as a new entry on Harden's list. I don't see them trading Lillard. Could the Blazers put together a adequate package with McCollum and other assets?

The Warriors haven't been mentioned yet as a team on Harden's list, but I think they might be the most likely destination. The Warriors have a lot of assets they could put together in a package for Harden. One potential package could be build around Klay Thompson and James Wiseman. Trading Harden clearly puts Houston in a rebuild situation. Klay Thompson is hurt now, but if he comes back healthy, he's a bet on the future. And the Warriors have a lot of future draft assets to put into a package. Those assets include the Wolves's 2021 first and second round picks along with the Warriors own future picks. Putting Harden together with Curry, Green and Oubre would put the Warriors back into contention for a playoff run.

I was reading your post and when you first mentioned the Warriors I was like...hmm...if they aren't patient they might be the team that needs Harden. More than other teams. Oubre and Wiggins aren't gonna keep sucking as bad as they have been and getting Green back will help but as above mentioned they may be in a bit of trouble. What all would they be willing to give up though? Are they wanting to win some titles now the next couple years or be willing to build in the future? Klay would be AWESOMEwith Harden. Imagine the spacing with Curry and Klay at some point with Harden doing his thing. Wiseman's with Harden might be pretty nice too though. Harden is a terrific passer and imagine him being able to potential sling balls to the perimeter of Wiseman can also hit 3's as well as rim run? How will the Rockets and the league in general view that Wolves pick?

IMO the Rockets are in a tough spot but they can do reasonably well with this trade Of Harden. I think they have done a pretty solid job of building for the fire and possibly around Harden in the present with moves they have made. They could be the next team with a bunch of picks and maybe even not completely suck if Wall stays healthy And they get a worthwhile player back in the deal. Silas got to know Wiggins first hand some last year. Wiggins isn't terrible just overpaid. He will have 2 seasons left after this one. If he was a FA this offseason he gets what something around 20 million a year? The Rockets are going to have to take back some salary Wiggins might not be the salary they want to take back but he could be useful.

Anyway It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. This is just the latest star to want out. This is why building a chunk of assets is a way to get a star. Harden isn't the right guy for this team but the next guy that wants out might be...or we might be too good to need him. Lol lol lol lol :)

Just from our team standing, I would not trade for Harden. I get it for Philly and Boston, as they are pushing on the Bucks and Miami. I dont understand it for anyone else.

Monster - No true star in his prime who wants to be traded will want to be traded to the Wolves. If the Wolves want to be a contending team, they'll have to build their core through the draft. That's what the Warriors did initially.

I suspect the Warriors want to win now with Curry on the back side of his prime. The clock is ticking. Harden and Curry would be a lethal offensive duo. But I can't see the Warriors getting Harden without giving up Wiseman. I could see the Warriors packaging Wiseman with Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and several future picks. They could offer the Wolves' 2021 first (top 4 protected) and second round picks along with their own unprotected 2021 pick. Maybe they'd have to include a 2023 or 2024 protected first as well.

The Warriors would be really good with Curry, Harden, Green and Oubre.
