D-Lo was a 23-year old All-Star coming off of a career year. He was getting the max or near max from somebody. Stop it.[/quote
Lol ok... Jeff Teague made the all star team one year too, and it wasn't even as an injury replacement.
Do you actually think before commenting or do you just shit out the first nonsensical thought that comes to mind?
Jeff Teague was 26 when he got his All-Star nod and already under contract. D'Angelo Russell was 23 heading into free agency. What a weird comparison to fling out there. These young guys normally get paid on potential alone. Meanwhile, he had already produced a season worthy of All-Star recognition regardless of if it was an injury replacement spot. Youth, production, and potential get you paid in the NBA and he had all three on his side. It's as simple as that. The guy was getting max or near max money with or without a sign-and-trade involving Kevin Durant.
Hey pompous jackass, my point was that mediocre players have been known to make single all star game appearances before. What they're contracts are at the time has absolutely nothing to do with that particular argument... moron. You're going to stubbornly cling to your claim that dlo is a star aren't you? Again, if you start the personal attacks, I am game.
Attack Cam on DLo all you want, but it is fruitless. The guy makes shots from a position we have long lacked, especially in clutch situations.
DLo was an all-star, is a good young player, and far from our top issue(s).
Find a different slant.
The name-calling is something I don't typically remember seeing around here either. Plenty of bickering, but not childish tactics.
When someone asks me if I just shit out the first nonsensical thoughts that come to mind, that's the beginning of the attacks IMO... so please don't put that on me.

Re: Pistons vs Wolves GDT
The key is to watch DLO over the long haul, not just the first few weeks of the season. If he balls out and plays with consistency all year approaching an all star level, I will write a 2+1 in his honor at the end of the season. I will also change my screen name to DLOBreeze for 30 days, and never question him again.

I like that!!
Just like Towns, and all our young guys, DLO's game as lots of room to grow. And like Towns, DLO has a really sweet stroke, and guys that can do that are valuable. I thought DLO played pretty well last night. It seems like we have a roster that has the potential to develop some decent chemistry, which will only help elevate everyone's game.

Re: Pistons vs Wolves GDT
Top lineups from last night's win over Detroit:
1. +19: Rubio, Russell, Beasley, Okogie, Towns in ~8:28 together*
2. +8: Russell, Beasley, Edwards, Okogie, Towns in ~1:49
3. +4: Rubio, Beasley, Culver, Okogie, Towns in ~ 4:56
* +4 in final 3:13 of 1H, +15 in final 5:15 of 2H
It might not mean anything over the season, but it's remarkable that the Wolves had the success they did with Josh Okogie playing in the frontcourt next to Karl-Anthony Towns.

Maybe I am a non-conforming person to the way the league is turning. Or I am a realist who rightfully believes we have to find a fix at the PF position. Okogie cannot do that all year.

Common denominators in all three: Beasley, Okogie and Towns.

Future - You're a realist and I agree with you. I don't think Okogie as our main PF sustainable. But Rosas seems to believe otherwise.

Because of one game? If Okogie was really the plan at PF why would he have signed Juancho weeks ago?

Lol. Monster - I don't think Juancho as our main PF is sustainable either. In any event, Ryan mentioned Okogie playing PF even before he played him there for most of the first game. Maybe he wasn't the plan initially, but he certainly seems to be the plan now. If he was Plan B, then Plan B has been put into action. While Okogie as our main PF probably isn't sustainable all season if we truly have playoff aspirations, the thought of our defense with Juancho as our main PF is frightening - to Wolves fans, not opponents. :)
