This could be two more high picks absolutely turning to shit. The inability to identify, develop, and nurture talent on this team is unprecedented in any modern professional franchise. Seriously, look at the history and all the high picks. It's unprecedented I tell you! Or as someone named Vizzini once said, "Inconceivable!"

And it's not just that - we actually take otherwise competent vet players and make them worse over time, Covington being exhiibit A and Teague exhibit B. We just grind them down with a losing culture.

Okogie wasn't really a high pick. I'm not ready to trash Culver yet. He should be sent to Iowa till he develops a jump shot and reasonable FT percentage. Say 65%?

LOL, you said develop!

Well just let him stay there then. :d

The fact Culver is starting from such a ridiculously low floor in terms of his shooting, I have no hope he'll ever be a credible threat from 3. If he can get to 65% from the line, yay, I guess?

As someone mentioned in some other thread, how the hell does the scouting department not see how irredeemably bad his shot was!? The year he hit 35%+ he must have been practically steering them in.

Probably not ever be good, but it would probably be good for him to play against lesser competition and lesser stress while working on his game.

I just spit out 65% as kind of a goal since that should be achievable. You can always set new goals as ones are met, I'm just not seeing any progress here, and he's playing less too. IDK if he is getting better or worse.

I haven't been watching but Culver clearly has been struggling the past few games to put the ball into the basket. Before that he was easily trending upward...still wasn't amazing her was a good trend. To me the thing I see about him that gives me hope for him being worthwhile is I do think there is a chance he can play as a starting PG as a guy that sort of just keeps things moving and makes some plays. Defensively he looks like he has above average instincts.

Okogie has been struggling too on the offensive end. Defensively the guy can do things most guys just can't do. I think he is better than Brewer on that end. Even as bad as Brewer was he might have been less of a train wreck offensively early on. At least he can hit a solid percentage of his FTs and he gets there a decent amount. The thing about this roster is...there are a bunch of guys that would probably do well (or be much more valueable) if they were just playing off better players. The Wolves espcially with Towns our don't have those players. One of these guys has to be one of those guys and the vet PGs on the roster aren't the type that really make players better. It's a tough deal. I wouldn't be against sending. Culver to play in Iowa but I'm not sure they are going to do that and even though things are going poorly right now overall the Wolves see him in practice etc and Have more information than I do. If he struggles for another few weeks like he has (doubt it will stay THAT bad) then I think you almost have no other choice.
