Objectively I'm ready for both of them to go, but I'm almost 100% certain if Towns gets moved we're gonna get DeAndre Ayton back aka Baha Al Jefferson and we'll be 8 years away from another playoff appearance.

Gersson Rosas has no idea what's about to happen to him within the next couple of years.

We're going to have a great asset with our post-tank draft pick. That would at least get us in the conversation for trades on other disgruntled stars. A top 5 unprotected pick and a future first has to get us in the conversation for Beal if he's available.

Doper - I think you're looking at this the right way. Covington, a top 5 unprotected 1st and a future first would definitively put us on the running for Beal on draft day. Alternatively, we could maximize Covington's value now by trading him for more draft assets by the deadline. That would give us more draft fodder for a team like the Wizards looking to rebuild. I also think there might be a gem in the draft worth taking with our lottery pick. I think Haliburton is going to be a great NBA player and would be the perfect fit here. If we're in a position to draft him, I'd just take him and not look back.
