The Athletic's John Hollinger not impressed with the trade (for MN):

"As for the Wolves ... Look, I'm still scratching my head on this one."

"The only halfway logical conclusion, even though nobody has said this, is that the Wolves just wanted Teague gone. Frankly, given the timing, it's the only way to make sense of the deal."

We'll see if Rosas has something clever up his sleeve. Thus far, nobody has really seen it. But we're Wolves fans, we're probably the league's most patient fanbase. We believe in Hope, dammit!

I hate to bring it up again but isn't the logical conclusion that we're tanking? There may be something to them just wanting Teague out. That being said I really don't get how he became the bad guy in all of this. He's still light years better than Napier.

Sure. Very possible (obvious) that the tank is on.

But isn't that made just as easy with a 2nd round as compensation and T. Graham launching three pointers at a 29% clip?

At the end of the day we moved the deck furniture. The real reason behind it probably happened behind the scenes and we won't know why. The real question is who cares? Teague wasn't helping us win so we swapped expirings.

You are right, Teague was not helping us win games. Along with Cam, I thought a healthy Teague would make a difference. But for whatever reason, he has not fit will with the Wolves new style of play, on either end of the court. And to just plain bench doesn't seem very "professional", and would likely come with negative ramifications down the road.

So it's not a "don't let the door hit you on the way out" moment for me, but I think he had to go to make room for the development of others. I hope this allows Saunders to move Napier to a backup role -- I kind of liked the Culver/Wiggins backcourt we had earlier this season!
