I have not done any "thorough" research, but I like the idea of drafting Dunn. As a senior, he should be closer to contributing than many of the younger guys. And backup PG is absolutely a priority.

I think it's likely Dunn will be the guy left along with Hield. Top two are set. Boston needs size and or shooting, Bender or Murray would be likely. I actually think Ainge is more than capable of moving that pick. Then you have Phoenix, they need size badly, specifically at the 3-4 positions, they seem set with Bledsoe and Booker. I think depending on workout, Jaylen Brown could be in play there.
So as it stands now I see Bender and Murray likely going 3-4.

Good guess, Duke. If you're right about 3 and 4, who would you take if picking for the Wolves at #5.

There has been plenty of talk about the Wolves trading the pick. Jon K. Wolfson and Zgoda all lean that direction. Is that just what they think makes sense or is it some sort of info they have? At #5 I don't know if that appealing enough to get a player worth dealing. Depending on how is available at #5 a trade down I might be more willing to live with.

It's been well documented on here that I'm not the biggest fan of Rubio's game. Actually just his limitations on offense are the reason. I don't wanna turn this into the Rubio debate but I would go Dunn.

Take Rubio out of it, I truly think Dunn has a very high ceiling on both sides of the ball. The games I watched him he excelled at the drive and kick game, has great size and athleticism, appears to be a good kid also. I would take him. You could play him as a back up 1 or 2. I get Hield being in play here also. For some reason Jaylen Brown intrigues me. But I would take Dunn.

My thoughts are they just think it makes sense...we have learned already that Thibs is not going to let anything substantive slip out. I like trading the pick also, and think it's likely perhaps for the same reason those guys do:

1) the difference in talent in players slated to go 5-20 just doesn't seem to be that significant this year...trading a #5 for 2 first rounders seems to be the value play

2) there are several teams with multiple first round picks who are possible trading partners.

If Ingram, Simmons, Bender and Hield are all gone, and we stay at 5, I like Dunn or Luwawu best. I also am a big fan of Wade Baldwin and Valentine if we trade down into the later lottery range and pick up an extra first round pick that we could use on Patrick McCaw or Thon Maker. I'd also be happy with Nerlens Noel plus 24 (McCaw/Maker territory).

It's fun to talk about lottery conspiracy with Mutombo tweeting his congrats 4 hours ago, but I can assure you the lottery has always been legit. My firm oversees the entire process, and while I don't know the woman partner who was in charge this year, I have talked with a couple of partners who have been involved in other years. We watch the entire process like hawks, and there's no chance of any shenanigans. EY is a $28 billion firm and can't afford to risk its reputation by being involved with anything shady. It's legit, guys.

It's been reported that the Lakers are pretty interested in Kris Dunn. With the increasingly likely chance that the Lakers end up with Ben Simmons, I'd offer the rights to Dunn for Julius Randle straight up. Randle's not going to want to play behind Simmons. We have a hole at PF that would be immediately filled by the behemoth Randle. It makes sense from both sides.
