Its Lottery Eve
Re: Its Lottery Eve
Not saying I like trading the pick, because I don't. But I think Philly would do that trade in a heart beat for a chance to grab Dunn. Balances their roster out. They need a PG so badly. They could roll out Dunn, Ingram, Okafor, and Saric, with Embiid as a wild card. Not a bad looking lineup to roll out there.

With the increasingly likely chance that the Lakers end up with Ben Simmons, I'd offer the rights to Dunn for Julius Randle straight up. Randle's not going to want to play behind Simmons. We have a hole at PF that would be immediately filled by the behemoth Randle. It makes sense from both sides.
I like that deal a lot.

To add to what other have already said:

Don't forget: Being 5th still could give Wolves' currency if PG-seeking team wants to move up and Dunn still is on board

Re: Its Lottery Eve
Im going to make a prediction. The sixers will trade okafor for a pick in the draft. Most likely to the celtics for the 3rd pick.
Re: Its Lottery Eve
Good possibility. Dunn would be off the board for sure. Instead of trading Dunn if we had the chance at drafting why would you consider trading Rubio?
Re: Its Lottery Eve
Cam have you watched Randell play? He might be the most awkward player I've seen on the court. He makes Shabazz look like Pistol Pete with his right hand.

I agree that he is a clumsy looking player, Duke, but he's growing on me. He got better as the season progressed, and averaged 11 and 10 in what was really his rookie year...and he's only 21. I don't think the Lakers give up Randle for Dunn, but I think it would be a good deal for the Wolves.

Re: Its Lottery Eve
I've liked Randle since he was a one-and-done prospect at Kentucky. His scoring efficiency leaves much to be desired after his pseudo rookie season, but scoring ability is not the only reason why I want him. That guy cleans the glass (10.2 RPG in 28.2 MPG), he plays super physical, and his shooting stroke has plenty of potential from mid-range. Turned 21 in November. His motor's always running high and I just like his demeanor on the court; fearless and loves physical contact.
Last 40 games (all starts) of the season:
12.2 PPG (45.5 FG%, 74.5 FT%), 11.1 RPG, 1.9 APG, 1.9 TOV in 30.1 MPG
Out of those 40 games, 21 of them were double-doubles. I'd love to go get him.

I like his mentality too, I really liked him at Kentucky also. He has a chance to be a good player. He is young so there is room for improvement. Projecting, I don't see him as an all-star, but the #5 pick isn't guaranteed to be an all-star either. If the lakers draft Simmons I believe they would definitely be open to moving Randell.
Randell isn't a really a rim protector or doesn't really create off the dribble either. He is very good on the boards however.
