Isn't that better evidence of future results than whatever he may have done in some AAU tourney in 2017!? It's amazing in this day and age with all the advanced analytics that front office execs still get bamboozled like this.

Wiggs with a resurgence is going to make every athletic draftee who doesnt pan out early some money. If they dont pan out, teams will hold out hope thinking he might be on the wiggins trajectory.

Fair point, although Wiggins had a halfway decent year in his one year at Kansas. Reddish was awful against vastly inferior competition.

"He's young. Give him time."

- Just kidding. Everything I've seen from Reddish tells me he sucks. To be fair, I wasn't at that Vegas AAU tourney in 2017...

Get used to it.

He's the latest incarnation of the NBA's darling. I'm really impressed by his play.

But again... he's gonna be allowed to do what he wants while whining about not getting enough respect from officials the entire time. We'll hear about how "smart" he is instead of how whiny or entitled he is.

More outrageous is he was picked 3rd in that draft and traded by another team. Of course Bagley (was amusingly autocorrected to "bagels") and Ayton basically haven't played to defend themselves (maybe they would have taken a meaningful step too) but not being on the court so far this season is a problem in an of itself. Luka is good and he is smart and yes whiney. Harden is annoying but you simply can't get around him being a hell of a basketball player. Note that Graham was the guy that got an offensive foul call against Luka. It was sort of an easy call and even the Dallas broadcast said so live but still...

We were told he was some sort of savant leading into that draft. Looks like it's coming true.

I don't think Young will ever be as good, but at least Atlanta fans have something to rally behind from that trade. (I think they used the extra pick on Cam Reddish... oof.)

Trae Young is a really nice player and he is more than just a scorer he is a good passer too. Ayton and Bagley I think are likely going to be good players too. It's not like they picked guys that suck or something but...yeah. It's still early but Doncic is being talked about as one of the best players in the league RIGHT now. It's not ridiculous either IMO.

Jim Pete said he is the best player right now. In that he wouldn't trade any single player for him. I agree with that, in that Kawhi and LeBron are going to be more injury prone this season due to mileage and age. He's a way better playmaker then Greek Freak. He finishes around the rim better then anyone in the league. It's kind of hard not to say he isn't the best right now, over a full season. Maybe one game I would take Kawhi or LeBron. But I just can't count on them being there for sure.

Can Reddish was playing 3rd banana at Duke and gave up touches to Trae Jones too. It was the old...maybe he would have shown more...but should have been more efficient with more talent around him thing. I didn't watch him enough in college to really get a feel for what he was actually good at but he was certainly a bit Wiggins like in his weaknesses. I'm pretty sure Sam Mitchell said good things about him and he might have been right about Wiggins all this time so... lol Lots of the rookies from this class have been horribly inefficient so...yeah it's still early. Atlanta has extra picks and they used one on Reddish as an upside pick after going up and getting what seemed to be a solid player in Hunter. This draft is going to be an interesting one too keep up with IMHO partly because some teams moved around including the Wolves.
