4. Christian Laettner - This guy was a sure thing right? Ugh
5. Donyell Marshall - Let's keep drafting those bigs
6. Derrick Martin- That guy got way more playing time than he deserved
7. Anthony Peeler - Dellusional
8. Zach Lavine - Modern Anthony Peeler
9. Troy Hudson - Also another anthony peeler
10. Rashad Mccants - Another anthony peeler

Great list. I especially like the Anthony Peeler repeat theme. :)

How could I forget Christian Laettner. He may have had the biggest ego to talent ratio in Wolves history. I disliked him when he was at Duke and my view never changed after he arrived here. I can't dislike Felton Spencer, but he was a terrible player. He just didn't have any talent. I put him on that long list of front office blunders. A friend of mine created a stat back in the day called a Felton - 6 fouls and 0 points.

I'm sure Randy Breuer, Spencer, and Luc Longley were all great people. This franchise had an uncanny ability to find players with little to no talent.

Randy Breuer scored 43 points once.

I also heard (either here or from one of my hoops buddies) that he's an asshole playing pickup basketball.

Felton wasn't a bad player but it was certainly not an awe inspiring pick...although looking back at that draft it doesn't seem like there was alot of awesome players but I don't know the league that well from that time. meanwhile Spencer started quite a few games from some pretty good Jazz teams.

Classic Timberwolves...Felton Spencer went on to start over 200 games (including playoffs) for some pretty good Jazz teams. Was he good? No, but apparently he wasn't useless afterall. The Wolves were TERRIBLE for quite a length of time duraing and after he left. Good thing they fired Bill Mussleman... So is anyone brave enough to do their top 10 worst coaches? I'm not sure I could do a top 10 for coaches I liked unless I included assistants. lol
