I like using the cap space to get young talent. Brooklyn had no other recourse. I like this move for them.

Won't they just draft Ball?
I don't think this changes their plans for the draft. They can still do pretty much what they want. That's likely Ball, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was Jackson and they trade for PG and sign one of the many PG's in free agency.
Glad to hear we weren't part of a Russell deal. Not sure if Russell's presence is any factor in whether they try to outbid us for LaVine. I think that still remains a possibility.

Not sure why Indiana would want Lopez when they have Myles Turner as one of their main building blocks at Center.
I think LA keeps him for veteran stability and then lets his salary expire so that they have a bunch of money next year to attract free agents. Damn them. Unlike the Knicks, LA is still a destination for good free agents.
