Trey's numbers have regressed since his rookie season, except his shooting percentage (which was an anomaly this season and hardly credible in the 12mpg he got). Brandon 'freaking' Jennings pushed ahead of him in the Washington rotation.
I'd prefer to Tyus Jones being our 3rd PG any day of the week.
Nope I'm talking Trey. His shooting has improved the last 2 years. What they had him do with the Wizards was just play. He was a combo guard not a PG. That was probably why they got Jennings (plus Jennings used to be a legit starting PG talent) and Jennings was racking up assists for the Wizards during the regular season. Look I thought Burke was vastly overrated on that draft and laughed at how he went on to shoot the ball not much better than Rubio despite being supposedly a scoring PG his first couple seasons. Now the guy has been able to be a more efficient player the last couple years and I am considering him as a possible rotation combo guard who also happens to have a decent chunk of NBA experience as well going into his 5th season and he turns 25 in November. I'm not looking to pay him much but it's a guard league and the guy has some skills to score the ball and create a bit.
Brandon Jennings was a HUGE reason the Wizards aren't still playing. He was atrocious on both ends of the floor.
So for him to get run ahead of Burke... is telling.
