Trade Target Performance Tracker
Re: Trade Target Performance Tracker
If Butler goes we still need another wing. The thing I like about Richardson is the value for price. A deal with Miami is completely dependent on the flexibility of the other contracts from my perspective. Yes Waiters or Olynyk is a commitment but I see Olynyk as movable where Waiters would completely be a salary dump for Miami and would make us stuck.
Whatever happens with Butler I want to see a reset with financial flexibility for next season, and ideally some shift in the leadership structure to focus on that reset. To me that doesn't necessarily mean firing Thibs, but I hope there would be a move to reorganize the dual role. I think the biggest issue in all of this hasn't been the deal itself but having Thibs as the simultaneous coach and GM. It was a fairly bad idea from the get go that has manifested itself in a bad way at this point.

Maybe they get desperate enough to give up porter for butler.
I looked at the box score and 3 Wizards bench players played more minutes than porter who played 24 and wasn't in foul trouble. Oubre Jr played 30 mins.
Because porter is overrated. Paid at the perfect time. I'm guessing they'd love to rid themself of that contact.

Anyone watching the Heat game? No? Of course not.

How about Rodney McGruder? That guy seems to be ballin. Also no I wasn't watching.

McGruder had a great game last night. Winslow looked good also. Richardson? Not so good. Maybe we're going after the wrong wing. :). Too bad Winslow's not longer gettable not that he got his extension, which includes the poison pill provision. How about Whiteside's performance? 15 rebounds and 6 blocked shots! If the object is to win now and best complement KAT, Whiteside makes more sense than Adebayo. Butler and Gorgui for Richardson and Whiteside gets it done. Maybe we could get both Richardson and McGruder along with Whiteside. We could throw in Justin Patton.

Richardson, whiteside, and unprotected first.
Jimmy and dieng, works for me.
Teague, wiggs, richardson, kat, and whiteside
Tyus, rose, okogie, tolliver, and taj
I think we can still fight in the west with that 10 man rotation.

I actually wouldn't mind that deal Canuck. Whiteside is a legit defensive presence and arguably the best shot blocker in the league. He is also a top rebounder and solid low post scorer. His contract is cap space nightmare for next year, but after that it becomes a massive asset as will be a 25 mil expiring. The question is his motor and work ethic. But it's worth the risk in my opinion. I'd definitely want an unprotected or at worst top 10 protected pick from them though.

I think that 1st round pick has to be unprotected to get the deal done. They owe a pick in 2021 so It makes sense for it to be unprotected. After the Houston offer I'm getting a little greedy. I want a little more than this deal although honestly I probably would live with it. Whiteside would be a wildcard especially for this season.

I'd like that deal for the Wolves.

The wiz are like a mirror image of us.
Nonstop wall, beal, rivers, and oubre isos.
Porter camped in the corner and not involved.
Mahinmi just setting screens and handing the ball off to their guard.
Defensively, they can't rebound nor contain pnr/pnp.
Need to at least make a call to see if they want butler.
