Trade Target Performance Tracker
Re: Trade Target Performance Tracker
Josh Richardson with 31 points on just under 50% shoot, 2 steals and 3 blocks tonight against the Kings. Whiteside finished wiht 24 rebounds and 5 blocks. Yet, the Heat lost. They need Butler.
Butler and Gorgui for Richardson, Whiteside and Miami's 2019 unprotected first round pick. Let's get it done.

Lip has gone full Whiteside! ;)
There has been a bit of chatter on twitter today about the Sixers may actually be getting in on Butler. Some seems at least mildly worth paying attention to.

I'm still super worried about adding whiteside. He has been great this year but he has to big of a past of showing no effort and quitting. That scares me and will he like minnesota and how will he respond to thibs coaching style.
If we good whiteside it is a great get. But there are so many red flags I wouldn't pull the trigger on him. Also gorgui has had a nice bounce back year so far

A combo of Covington, Saric, Fultz, picks would be excellent.
Seeing how we lack a true big body C I also wouldn't mind the chance on Whiteside while erasing a year on the Gorgui contract.

I'm giving Lip a hard time but I don't think anyone is going into this without some worry if we bring back whiteaide in this deal. My question about Whiteside is he said he worked out in the offseason so he was more nimble so he could switch. One big knock on him was on defense he basically never left the paint. I have no idea if he is being more active in that way and being successful. Whiteside and McGee are two weirdo knuckleheads in their own way and yet pretty talented and in a new NBA are having very nice starts to the season.
I'm not as much on a hurry to deal Dieng either. Even with a couple flubs tonight he still looks like he we'll be good enough to earn a few million of his overpaid contract. He looks like he has recovered from his funk. He said recently he realized some players on his national team were frustrated with their roles and he realized he was in that spot on the Wolves and needed to embrace whatever role he was given. I think Dieng has improved and I think Thibs is giving some guys a little more freedom as well. It's just a few games but he is putting up career best productivity numbers. If he was just stronger at times he would be an even more worthwhile guy for this team. I'll take what he has brought though no doubt.

As Monster noted, I've gone full Whiteside. In fact, how about Butler straight up for Whiteside? :) Ok, never mind.
Of course, there is no way the Sixers would trade Covington, Saric and Fultz, much less those three with picks. But I know you were kidding. Seriously, I think the best we could do would be Covington, Saric and two 2019 second round picks (Bulls and Kings). And even that's a long shot. More likely, we couldn't do better than Covington, Muscala, the Bulls 2019 2nd rd pk and Miami's unprotected 2021 1st rd pick. To me that would be a decent deal. Maybe we could do a three-way and get Whiteside too. :)
My favorite deal would still be Butler and Gorgui for Josh Richardson, Adebayo and Miami's 2019 unprotected pick. I know we'd have to take back some additional salary and it might be Waiters. But I'd still do the deal.

Dieng isn't a bad player, but his defensive issue are the same as kats. We need a big that can help offset kats issues, not replicate them. So, yeah, no issues giving him up fir syndrome like whiteside.

Heat lose again.
JRich 5-13 15/2/3/1/1
Whiteside 6-11 16/12/2
6ers losing
Wiz and rockets getting killed.
Seems like all the potential jimmy trading partners are going to get more desperate.
