Josh Richardson has hit a tough patch now shooting .411 overall although still shooting .399 on 3s. He also unhappily threw his shoe into the stands a couple weeks ago during a game.

Small sample size to be sure, but the Philly deal is looking much, much better than the rumored Whiteside/JRich deal. A week ago I saw the deals as relatively even, but recent events are changing my thinking. Whiteside didn't play the 4th quarter of the last game and actually left the bench before the game was over...Wade covered for him and said he needed to use the toilet, but it's more likely his volatile behavior is rising to the surface. And JRich is coming back to earth from and offensive perspective (and despite being a plus defender, is nowhere near RoCo level). Right now it looks like we dodged a bullet on this one.

Well, not only have the individual performances fallen in favor of Covington, just consider the fit. I have watched Richardson play a few times this year and he is even smaller than his bio would suggest. He needs to play the 2. Yet the 2 is where Wiggins is best at as well. Covington is clearly a 3 and fits on this current Wolves team way better than Richardson would fit. And that doesn't even consider Okogie who is also a 2.

It may not have been obvious at first, but Covington has clearly been the best fit we could have hoped for!

What I underestimated with RoCo/Saric was the dramatic turnaround defensively. It's been incredible. We'll see if we keep it up on the road.

Let me pre-face this by saying I am by no means championing this idea. I was just curious what the board thinks. Would you offer Philly Tyus for Fultz? Philly needs a guy who can actually play now which Tyus can. We don't really have a PG of the future on our team. We have a guard sitting on the bench not playing in Okogie. Bayless is on the team as a serviceable emergency backup to Teague and Rose. Tyus is ok, but I don't think he's a starter. I think he's a plus backup but would be a minus as a starter. Fultz is at an all time low. We might make the playoffs this year, but we aren't gonna do damage yet. Would you take the risk on Fultz as a chance at finding the future PG on this team? I'm on the fence on this one.

I think that is interesting. Fultz is clearly the strangest thing I have seen in sports in a while. There's really no explanation for it.

Fultz's career going is interesting enough and then you have what the Sixers donwith him as well as what the league values him. To me the question is whether the Sixers are ready to move on. Do they think this diagnosis will fix him? If so they aren't dumping him they are gonna hope he is a piece to the puzzle. I'll mention it here that Someone posted on Twitter Landry Fields had a similar issue (nerve problem around his shoulder) that basically derailed his career. I knew he had some injuries but had forgotten what it was. It's not exactly the same thing but it was interesting for sure.

As for the deal...Philly already has sort of a Tyus type guy (winning type flawed player) in the roster in T.J. Mconnell. I don't think Tyus is enough to move the needle for them. Add in Tolliver and the Sixers might have some interest if they are gonna go more all in. I think they were a team Wolfson said had some interest Tolliver which makes sense.

Can somebody go back and pull Tyus games as a starter last year? I know it wasn't a large sample size, but I remember it wasn't too bad. I'm just saying were going to have to find value in some positions.

Really interesting, khans. As much as I like Jones, I would easily do this trade...Fultz was a monster in college, and between his injury and sharing the ball with Simmons, he hasn't had a chance to show what he can do in the pros. I think there is about a zero chance Philly does it though.

Tyus is a jimmy guy. Im sure jimmy can make some demands if he really wanted tyus, its not like it would be the first time that jimmy wanted something from a team.
