Unfortunately we have another PBO who will always be negotiating from a position of weakness because he has implemented a system that players have to conform to, rather than getting a intelligent coach and letting him design a system around the talent that we have. There is no reason that this team shouldn't be competing for a PO spot right now.
KAT and DLO will never contend for a title, but once this deal is completed it will spell the doom of the wolves in Minny. Three seasons from now when this team has failed to win, we will see KAT and DLO crying about being traded and Rosas shown the door. At that point Rosas will have decimated our future on ridiculous trades to build around two incredibly soft players. We can only hope during that time, DLO's value in the league will be crushed.
Why on earth would you be looking at a guy that didn't want to play here? Rosas' answer is to sell our future to get him here anyway. Say what you want about Kahn, but at least he was smart enough to not force guys onto the team, that only wanted to get out.
Taylor finding a buyer is the only hope at this point.
Exactly.
DLO chose to sign with GSW over us. We would be mad to give up 1st round picks to get him here when we could have just potentially signed him outright six months ago.
Unfortunately that's what this franchise does. Makes bad decisions after bad decisions. 'Buy high and sell low' should be their motto.
I'd offer them:
Covington, Dieng and 2nd rounder for DLO
or
Wiggins and 2nd rounder for DLO
If they decline so be it. Move on.
I agree with you completely! We just have to hope Rosas is smarter than he appeared to be on draft night last June. If he's smart he'll offer what you suggested and if GS says not, then he'll move on to another deal.
I'd still like to see Rosas deal Wiggins to the Hornets for Batum along with Charlotte's 1st round pick and Cleveland's 2nd round pick. I'd agree to a top 2 protection on the Charlotte pick next June and thereafter until the pick transfers.
Sources: Minnesota, Atlanta, Houston are in serious discussions on a deal that would send Robert Covington to Rockets and Clint Capela to the Hawks. Evan Turner and draft compensation involved in current talks to Timberwolves. Potential fourth team too.

Charlotte supposedly turned down Batum for Wiggins straight up.
I'm not going to comment much on this because it's simply unbelievable to me at this point. But I will say this: If we trade for DLO, you might as well move on from this franchise. We will have virtually no chance of winning a playoff series for at least the next 8 years. It's that bad guys. If it doesn't happen we still have faint hope. I'm clinging to it at this point.

I agree cool. I am not at all happy with this trade. We played roco at a position he shouldnt be playing and essentially lowered his value. To get a 15 to 20 pick or worse when/if durant comes back and two back ups. We didnt have to trade covington. He was on a cheap deal and may i remind you was the main piece in the butler trade. Not liking this or where it going.
