What a douche bag. For someone who states to be all team he's a self serving idiot. Goodbye.

I guess it is just best to move on from Jimmy. Will free up Wiggins to have more impact and it is probably best to have a happier KAT. Hopefully get something back that is younger and have several years left on their deals. Free agents aren't likely to look at Minnesota with any fondness knowing that KAT runs the show.

I don't think KAT "running the show" will be an issue for potential free agents. KAT's defense, on the other hand, might be an issue. If KAT steps up his defense and becomes the top 10 player he's capable of being, there will be a number of FAs who consider coming here specifically because of him.
I suspect the rest of the League knows Jimmy Butler for what he is. What's we're seeing now (and what I've suspected and written about for a while) are things that players around the League would already know. Note that free agents didn't flock here as many suspected when we first acquired Jimmy. I found that telling at the time. So Jimmy's departure won't make the Wolves less attractive to FAs other than as a result of the fact the team will likely lose more games. The key replacing Thibodeau and Layden with front office execs and a head coach who know what they're doing and who players like and respect.

I agree with just about everything you state, Lip. But I do think that this team is now unequivocally KAT's. And somewhat, rightly so. The Wolve's own number 1 pick and a legitimate homegrown all-star. But he is still awfully young and I'm just not sure that older players are going to want to defer to KAT until he has proven himself as the lynchpin of a perennial playoff contender. In fairness, I think it is easier for him to get there without Butler.

Actually, I agree with you Ben. I don't necessarily believe this is "KAT's team" or that vets would definitely defer to him given his age and the fact that he's not yet a proven star, even though he is an allstar. My only point is that some good free agents might like the idea of playing with him because of his talent.
