This rumor has been going around for a while, but nothing has been corroborated.
I think the more credible issue is the one actually written about in the article, which is how Thibs and Butler kind of ganged up on KAT. On the one hand, KAT probably deserved it given his crappy defense. On the other hand, there is the "love" part of tough-love. If all you get is the tough/negative feedback side of the equation, it will eventually alienate people.
It better be a personal issue like Jimmy hooking up with his girl otherwise KAT comes off looking like a big soft baby. "They're ganging up on me and telling me to play defense and care about more than just my stats". Sounds like a great leader of the next regime.

I'm sure it's a personal issue. I'm just saying the apologists are likely to just say this type of thing happens all the time in the league, and therefore it's okay.
I can't believe that Thibs is rebuffing trade offers and Glen is allowing him to do it. He has got to fire this guy over "philosophical differences" right now.
Maybe it's time the government gets involved. The state takes possession of the team under the guise it's a state institution not being run properly and needs to be preserved. Glen gets bought out and a special committee is created to find suitable people to run the franchise. I mean c'mon.
I get them saying they are not going to trade Butler, but if I was Glen I would tell Thibs if you trade Butler you are fired because I would be hiring his replacement to handle that.

Step 1 - Tell Jimmy to stay home.
Step 2 - Fire Thibs.
Step 3 - Tell Layden to find the best deal possible for Jimmy....then fire him before the new year.
Step 4 - Promote Saunders to interim coach, with an emphasis on interim. Someone has to run camp!
