Rubio, Dieng, and Bazz for Cousins and Collision I'd be all over.

I used to want Cousins, but 2 all-star frontcourt players just doesn't work in today's NBA. There's only one ball to dump into the post and you limit Towns when you put him out on the perimeter to space the floor. I think the only frontcourts that work with 2 all-stars is one has to be a low usage defensive guy while the other gets most of the touches and frankly Towns is going to be better on both ends of the court than Cousins. I don't think you can make two high usage guys work in the frontcourt unless you stager them a lot which at that point why bother if they don't fit great when the game matters most down the stretch in the 4th quarter. I don't think another all-star big fits here unless they also can hang out on the perimeter for a bit during games and Cousins doesn't do that.

Actually, he does do that which is part of his problem. He should spend more time on the interior beasting it versus taking long-range jumpers.

But I agree with your overall point. If we were to trade one of our young wings hypothetically (again, I'm NOT advocating this right now!), it probably wouldn't make sense to trade out for a big unless it was a Drummond or DeAndre Jordan type. The only exception would be a stretch 4 that could defend too - like a Draymond Green type of player, but there is only one Draymond.

I disagree completely. Blake and Deandre are a complimentary offensive/defensive force, right? Where has that gotten them?

Well, it's gotten them a lot further than the Wolves!

Also, KAT will ultimately be better than Griffin, if not already.

I'm not even advocating that we do this, I was just agreeing with Khans that in the hypothetical scenario our front office were to trade a wing for a big, that it be more of a defensive-minded, low usage big.

I love deandre Jordans play as well. In fact i advocated strongly on throwing a large offer or trade for jordan a couple years ago. I also like Drummond. But if given the choice of trading for one of those two or boogie, I'm taking boogie because of the ability to apply pressure instead of thwarting pressure. What about you?

We could have had DeAndre Jordan too....traded the pick for cash I believe.

I love Cousins' talent, but can't stand his attitude and what appears to be a victim mentality. I think he'd mess up our chemistry because of his age, talent, and NBA experience. He'd demand to be the top dog, but he's a shitty leader and we don't have anyone capable of standing up to him (except Thibs I guess, but you really need locker room vets aligned with the coach to truly hold sway over guys like Cousins).

Cousins seems like the perfect candidate to join an already established playoff team that has its top couple dogs in place along with a strong coach.

So yeah, if I had to pick one of those three, Cousins would rank 3rd. I'd probably pick Drummond over Jordan since he's still young and appears to still be improving.

But....this is all hypothetical. I'm all for sticking with what we've got for now and seeing what holes still exist after we get another season under our belt.
