Well, we certainly played defense like a bunch of tankers! That was some god-awful effort defensively, but it's sort of par for the course, as defense has been a problem all season. Flip is a Luddite when it comes to the 3-point shot. But his inability to get this team to embrace defense is a fireable offense (too bad he reports to himself). I'm sure his team made him proud tonight, going down without a fight and guaranteeing his boss a top 4 pick. Let's hope this loser mentality doesn't carry over into next season.

So I guess Westbrook isn't a star because he couldn't lead his team to the playoffs and every real star does that right?
Just a jab at all the Love haters who knocked him for not being able to make the playoffs as the best player on a team. Turns out even the 3rd best player in the league can't do it by himself. Who would have thought it takes an actual team to do it?

Heh, good point Khans.
I've said this many times, but the NBA is at an all-time high in terms of its talent level. The days of a single guy carrying a bunch of role players on his back into the playoffs ala Lebron back in his first Cleveland stint or even KG in Minnesota for a couple of years there are long gone. May be in the Eastern conference it can still be done, but no way in the Western Conference. You need multiple great players.

Another thing of note from the game, KG didn't play so it looks like another positive indication that he will be back next season. Hazzaaaa!

In the first half, Westbrook decided to score. A lot.
In the second half, he decided to have his teammates score. A lot.
A 50-point triple double was in play if he wanted it...

While I think Flip has done some nice things as GM and coach, I think he's done some equally bad things in both roles as well. Right now I'm sitting here thinking many players on this team will be better next year as we've seen clear progression throughout the season. But, I'm not so sure our coach will be better next year.

Watched this last night and I have a couple comments.
Good think OKCs defense sucked or this would have been really ugly. That first quarter was ridiculous but the Wolves were scoring at a high rate too.
AB got in some decent minutes. He had a couple bad plays (to be expected after not playing for a while) but overall played decent. Took some 3's instead of long two's which is encouraging for a couple reasons. Lol
I know Kanter had it easy in this game against our sad front court but watching him tear us up in the 2nd half I remember wanting to take him in that draft instead of D-Will I know he has issues on defense but he woulda been a lot more useful that's for sure. Oh well
