Young for Garnett trade discussed
Re: Young for Garnett trade discussed
I don't like trading Thad for KG straight up and personally I'm all for acquiring KG. I will be happy if the Wolves send out Thad & Bud and get back KG & a 1st. Maybe the Nets can acquire a 1st in their other big deal or make it a multi team deal. Here's to hoping.
Re: Young for Garnett trade discussed
Looks like KG has decided to waive his no trade clause, per David Aldrige. Now all we can do is hope that there is some unreported aspect to this deal
Re: Young for Garnett trade discussed
This isnt about KG's stats. It's not about people thinking he's any form of his old self. It's about his mentality, and bringing that back to our franchise. He has his championship, which we partly gifted to him. I'd bet he'd be 100% in on giving the franchise he loved something back.
Many say he's not a mentor, whatever. I don't care if he doesn't work on post moves with AB. Or coaches LaVine, Wiggins, and AB on life. I want him at practices. Adding intensity to workouts, pushing players to play defense. Calling them out when they aren't in position on defense. I want him to fuel their desire to lay it all out on the court. That's what bringing KG back is all about for me. You cannot deny his passion for the game, and the intensity with which he plays. Having that in practice for a young team is definitely worth it. The passion and intensity is what we've lacked ever since we traded him.
I see Dieng, AB, and Payne benefiting greatly from his presence in just PRACTICE. That is a win moving forward.

Lol, I don't even know how to respond to this. I never said KG having a championship meant anything for this team. What I stated was a personal thing about KG. He wanted to win one, and he did. I don't think another one is that big of a deal for him at this point in his career.

They won't have max cap space next season even with Bud off the book, and that's what it would take to get Green
