I worry about that. I hope we dump Bud at the minimum in this deal. I am not sure the Nets even have a pick to give, but we should get something.

Im not om board with this. Kg at this point has nothing left in the tank.

All this talk about teaching the young guys how to win or play d is bullshit when you cant play anymore. Kg cant make shots and board or hold ground consistently anymore and is a hothead and trash talker who cant back it up anymore. What are the young guys going tonlearn from that?

Allen iverson went back to philly at the endnof his career when he can still play a bit and he wasnt much of a positive influence on their team.

Kg is the best wolfof all time, but the current kg is the shadow of the shadow of his former self and its not something i want to see anymore. Il rather have thad even if he opts in next season than watching kg finish his career here when i know he should have retired 2 seasons ago and not have to be the old guy who cant go anymore but still play for that paycheck.

I'm just scratching my head at LST saying this current form of Garnett is an UPGRADE to Young right now... Have you watched a Nets game?

I guess I am in the minority (along with LST), but I am a fan of the deal.

1) Despite the punkish behavior on the court, I am still huge KG fan for everything he did for the Wolves. He went to Boston and led them to a championship, and I couldn't be happier for him. He was the reason I became a hardcore Wolves fan. To have him come back home for a farewell tour on a team that should have a very promising end to the season seems perfect to me!

2) Okay, I am not fan of how Thad Young fits on this team and his weaknesses. I will be happy to see him gone.

3) With Young gone and KG playing limited minutes, that's a lot more minutes for guys like Payne, Bennett and Dieng. I'm on board with that!

4) With Young's salary off the books next season, the Wolves should be able to make some noise in free agency this offseason. Adding a quality vet at a position of need should improve our chances of competing for a playoff spot next year.

I find too many appealing aspects of this deal to pass up. I hope it happens.

What really sucks about this is while we could actually be working on things that could help to advance our rebuild project, we are using the time to work on a sentimental KG deal. Only the Wolves I guess...............

Tim, if kg want that farewell tour with us, then just accept a buyout from the nets and sign with us for the minimum. No need for us to give up anything to watch his broken down game.

I know a lot are not thad fans here and dont see a future for him with the team but he is only 26, has played very well the last few weaks and is on the last year of his deal next season which makes him a valuable trade going into next season. No need to him for kg! Come on now, the guy has a had a fork stick in him 2 yrs ago and should not been playing amymore.

Also, this is rubio and wiggins team now. They need and will learn to win in this league.

Kg cant play anymore. Based on history, guys who cant go anymore really doesnt inspire anything. What is wig, zach, bazz and ab going to learn from a washout player.

Intensity. Right now Rubio is the only one who exhibits intensity. It would be my hope that KG's presence would raise everyone's intensity, and maybe that would carry forward beyond this year.

Cool! Not only does it seem like it'll get done, but there will be more pieces involved as well.

It's really sad that the trade deadline is one of the more exciting times of the year for us Wolves fans over the past decade... :-(

Yahoo Sources: Minnesota, Philly could be included to expand Brooklyn-OKC deal w/ Garnett to Wolves, Thad Young to Nets. Among many parts.
