Re: Potential Draft Deals
If Ricky's healthy, he's a pretty good point guard to have. With that said, is the high ankle sprain he suffered expected to be a long term issue or not. If not, then I don't see a very good case to move him.

The case to move him is he is a middle of the pack PG who is one injury away from not being able to be a primary piece in a trade anymore. If you can move him for a potentially better player I think you do it. His value isn't bottomed out as some suggest because he is signed long-term. Anybody who gets him gets him for 4 years and he's ready to help now and not in 2-3 years like a rookie.

Very well stated.

Re: Potential Draft Deals
I would be very active in the market prior to draft so draft day is flawless. The latest draftexpress lineup has the 76ers taking the big Euro kid Porzingis. If so...the Knicks could have Russell fall to them.
Trade #31 and Bennett to Raptors for #20 and Greivas
Or Trade #36 and Bennett to Raptors for #20 and Norguiera
Trade Ricky Rubio, #20 and Budinger for Jose Calderon and #4 and a future top 13 protected in
2016.
#36 draft George De Paula or Cliff Alexander or Robert Upshaw.
Roster
PG= 4 Russell, Calderon, Greivas
SG= Martin, LaVine
SF= Wiggins, Bazz, FA
PF= 1 Towns, KG, Payne
C= Pek, Dieng, #36 Upshaw
Enough vets, plenty of athleticism and possible all stars at all levels. I actually like the Norgueira option better because I feel he will be a defensive beast in two years.
Pipe dreams

None of that was realistic in the slightest. Not even one trade idea. Lol

Woj: "Sources: Philadelphia's Joel Embiid, who lost rookie year to injury, has setback on left foot healing, must sit out thru further evaluation."
What's that, Camden? Those red flags you were talking about? Man, oh, man.

Horrible news on Embiid. Skill wise he has it all. You can't draft injury prone guys high.

Re: Potential Draft Deals
Regarding Embiid, its a tough blow for him and the Sixers, but I am not at all surprised. I honestly think he's going to have an injury plagued career ala Oden and wouldn't trade anything of value for him. I seem to recall someone suggesting we trade the top pick for Embiid so I guess David Kahn does really post on this board.
