Keenum sure seems to like playing the Bucs.

The defense had a few hiccups but played pretty well and got the job done.

It felt like Bucs players were dropping like flys out there.

Keenum is a stud. Obviously. Ok I'm all seriousness the guy has the ability to drop a ball in when throwing deep. He won't have another day like today but he has sole athletic ability and has some legit experience.

Regardless of who they were facing the oline for the job done today.

Cook is a really good RB.

Quigley still doesn't have a return yard in 3 games. Forbath didn't miss a kick.

Diggs is a good WR but Thielen man that dude is really good. We might have a pretty good tandem there.

The Bucs defense was missing 5 starters at kickoff and continued losing them. The Vikings took advantage as you'd hope they would, but I still think it'd be foolish to read too much into this game.

Yeah it's worth mentioning the Vikings were missing their starting QB. Just getting a win is good enough for me.

I was looking at it more from the perspective of the O-Line. They've played great against a bad Saints D and a shorthanded Bucs D and got worked over by a very good Steelers D. The backup QB looked like a more mobile version of the starting QB did when they both had time.

It's easy to get sucked in by these great games against subpar opponents, I have a lifetime of Vikings fandom to prove it! Fool me once shame on you, fool me for 51 years, well damn, aren't I a dumb fuq!

I get where you are coming from. I've kept my optimism about this team being a playoff team but I thought it could take some ugly wins to get there. So my expectations in a way are kinda low. Lol

I do think Keenum with more prep time likely helped both him and the line. He didn't get too deep in the pocket and they moved him around a bit. He is actually pretty athletic he is a 4.6-4.7 in the 40 yard dash guy so he can move.

If they can keep making the bad defenses look bad that's good. Last year they just looked bad most of the time and Bradford was working some magic to do what he was able to do with zero running game and getting beaten to a pulp.

The Lions will present another test and hopefully the offense and defense can show out better than they did against the Steelers. We will see. I'm feeling pretty good about being 2-1 all things considered including the oline having played like 1 snap in the preseason together.

I didn't see a highlight but heard some of the game on the boat Sunday. Good win for the team. Unfortunately, politics has become more important than playing games for the NFL. I have heard less about what happened during the game than what has happened directly before. As a fan I watch to escape and now I am spending more time watching Twins and waiting for NBA news then I have in past years.

Agreed on the politics, if this continues I will ultimately find other ways to occupy my sunday afternoons.

Well, this weekend changed a lot of things. Keenum looks functional, and Kaepnerick is no longer that unusual.

One things still sticks in my craw. JOSH F'ING FREEMAN!?!?!? Seriously? Maybe Khans should start a thread comparing Johan Santana and Tyler Duffy. Or Kevin Garnett and Adrien Payne. Or Devin Dubnyk and Darcy Kuemper. Kaepnerick had a 90.7 PR and 55.2 QBR in 2016, and it was nowhere near his best season. Freeman had ONE season better than that: 2010 (SERIOUSLY! TWO-THOUSAND-EFFING-TEN! "LOST" WAS STILL ON THE AIR IN TWO THOUSAND EFFING TEN!)

Want another fun stat. In Freeman's one game with MIN, with one or or two weeks of prep, his rating was 40.6. In the PIT game, after being a Viking for ONLY FIVE MONTHS, Keenum's rating was 65.9. So who is the "Freeman" again, Keenum or Kaepnerick?

Seriously, anytime you read a Khans post, and you start to think "You know what? Maybe that Khans does only have 46 chromosomes.", lock the computer and go for a brisk walk.

Now look, if Keenum is going to put it together and be passable (no pun intended), I'm glad. But we all knew that SprayTan McGrabbyHands was going to say something about the NFL because it's more fun than admitting that THEY WHOOPED HIS ASS IN COURT, while also admitting that legal contracts don't mean a thing to him, so there was no reason to freeze out the better QB.
