I'm glad the Lakers options are dwindling. If Love can't be convinced to go there, what does that say?

I would have thought Love going to LA meant nobody will want to follow him.

Re: FA Predictions
but Love went to Boston because he was so disrespectful and he obiviously wanted to play for the Celtics.
Love has always been a diva, he's just been waiting all this time to get to LA
Love is too selfish to play 3rd fiddle to Lebron and is going to bolt to be the man somewhere else.
Love doesn't care about winning, he just cares about being the guy.
-every Love hater ~cough~long~cough

Re: FA Predictions
I'm actually a tad interested to see what a healthy Cleveland can do getting to start the season with Mozgov. I think the rest of the team has just been offered QO's, so now that they have Love locked up they can get to work on the rest.
I read the other day Love and Mozgov were actually the Cavs best defensive big pairing, because Love was finally paired with a true rim protector that complemented his no-foul play. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of their roster shapes up. We're talking certain luxury tax here by far, and with the cap rising in future years basically only putting them below it. They probably won't have cap room, but it's also not likely they'll need it with the talent they have. Depth and health will be the keys to winning a Championship.

Chandler is a bargain for the Suns under the new cap and the Suns really could use another rim protecting big.

Re: FA Predictions
Chandler agrees to 4/52 deal with the Suns, and they're using that to leverage a signing with Aldridge. Suns also locked up Knight on 5/70 deal. If they could get Aldridge to sign over the Spurs, the Suns would be a pretty formidable team next year. Though I think that might require a S+T for Bledsoe?

Yeah, and to the Pekovic point, if he's healthy his $12MM value will be right in line with expectations, and might be undervaluing him under the new salary cap. Key point: health.

CAVS CLOSE TO RE-SIGNING THOMPSON
Sources told ESPN that the pact is expected to exceed $80 million over five years to keep the promising power forward in a frontcourt that will also feature Kevin Love after Love announced that he's staying in Cleveland."
So... 80 mil per year over 5 would be 16/yr. That's insane for Thompson. I'm sorry but that money should be going to Mozgov. Even in the new cap era this is an overpay for Thompson IMO.

Yeah it's a lot. On this board we talked a lot last summer about what he might get if he came here and got a bunch of minutes but none of us would have expected him to get paid like that staying in Cleveland.
