The dude wouldn't even talk to Cuban to tell him he was staying with the Clippers. To let last night get that out of hand was some of the most unprofessional stuff I've ever seen. I don't care how emotional it was for him. You don't blow someone off like that and then have your teammates make fun of the situation. Be a grown man and deal with the consequences instead of hiding in your house with your buddies and shutting out the world. You don't break up with a girlfriend just by saying, "ya I just don't think I'm ever going to talk to her again and see how that works". He took the coward's way out. Fans understand professionalism eventually. He'll be forever hated in Dallas for the crap he pulled last night. He had the right to change his mind with the moratorium. He just shouldn't have done so in such a shitty way.

I with you Khans, in that he was extremely childish. If nothing else, I would be pissed about flying in to Houston and not getting so much as a text.

Doper, he certainly has a right to go back on his word, but I hope is ready for the same treatment from the teams as well. It may not happen to him now, but wait till he starts to decline, or the Clips fall apart in the PO's again, and the shoe might be on the other foot.

Don't remember if this is the right thread, but monster nailed it.

AP Sources: Kevin Garnett's 2-year deal with the Timberwolves will be worth $16 million.

Actually, Alex nailed it. Monster and I were both in at 2 years/$8 million. More proof that Alex and Glen Taylor are one and the same.

I'm surprised at this...seems like a lot. This seems to indicate that Flip expects much more from KG this year than we are projecting. Maybe this is a positive indicator of his health.

Duncan took 5 million for a contender. 3 million in this market is about the cost of doing business for a rebuilding team hence the 8 million. Not ideal, but not outrageous either.

8 million per? I don't think KG should get that much but on the other hand its less than 10 million so I guess whatever. I was more hopeful it would be less than that with Duncan and Manu signing back on for basically peanuts but oh well. If KG can play 55-60 effective games this year and next he will likely earn at least half of that contract.

Meh. I can live with it, I mean his play certainly won't/shouldn't warrant $8 million but I suppose having him around the pups and his marketability makes the deal worthwhile.

Now we just need to see Bjelica put the ink to the paper, monitor the Robbie market, bicker over a third PG, and theorize over Bennett's future as a Wolf.

What does him getting 8 million a year hinder us from doing? We still have young guys on the cheap and we don't really have to have the cap space.

The Raptors cut Ridnour today. Anyone interested in trying to get him at the vet minimum? Give him some stability (we'll be his sixth team this calendar year) and give us a veteran PG to push Tyus and give us depth if Ricky gets hurt again.
