Re: Anthony Edwards makes a pretty big mistake
Anthony Edwards got slapped with a $40,000 fine. Glad there was no suspension as his actions didn't even come close to warranting that. He'll probably have to answer some questions during media day about this and then we'll get back to basketball chatter. Thank goodness.

I know we've pounded this topic into the ground, and there are disparate views on what Ant did, but I have to say his comments on media day were a home run. The lawyer-written apology he issued immediately a couple weeks ago meant nothing to me, but Monday it was Ant speaking from the heart, and I thought he went above and beyond what he needed to do. He seemed very sincere. I especially liked his comment that if he heard anyone make a gay slur, he vowed to say something. Many of us here believe that in addition to being an athletic freak, Ant has the desire and ability to learn how to get better as a basketball player. I found out Monday that he has the same desire and ability to become a better man. Way to go, Ant!

I agree, FNG. Edwards is a really good dude. And he hit it out of the park speaking from the heart on media day.
