I'm distraught over the news about the JLO/A-Rod split. The prospect of seeing JLO standing with her back to me only 5 feet away has kept me going through these past couple games. Now the dream is over and it's back to being a depressed Timberwolves fan.

I'm guessing A-Rod told her he was going to buy an NBA team. She was probably excited, thinking it was going to be the Knicks, Nets or Miami Heat. Hearing it was the Timberwolves probably sent her into a rage. It was clearly the last straw in their already strained relationship.

Don't get so down Lip they said they were better as friends! They will still hang out and stuff. Honesty I would not be surprised if JLO showed up with A-Rod sometimes at Target Center...unless either of them actually find another romantic partner or have a true falling out with each other.

Here's what Brian Windhorst had to say about the status of the negotiations 37 minutes ago:

The group agreed to buy the Wolves along with the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx for a purchase price of $1.5 billion, with the idea that Rodriguez and Marc Lore would first become minority owners and gradually buy pieces of the franchise over the next couple years with the intent of reaching complete ownership by the 2023-24 season. However, talks in the past month have centered around which date Taylor would hand over complete ownership to Lore and Rodriguez, per Windhorst.

Maybe Glen has decided he wants to delay turning over majority ownership longer than first reported. That would be ridiculous. Or maybe there is disagreement over how much say the new owners will have during the period of their minority ownership. In any event, Glen just needs to let go!!
