I agree that Edwards has incredibly high upside. But upside means nothing if the player lacks the attributes or characteristics needed to reach his potential - competitive drive, worth ethic, passion for the game, self-discipline. You don't teach those characteristics. They're either there or not as part of who you are by the time you're 19 years old. If you disappear from games a lot in college, you'll disappear from games a lot in the NBA. If you don't care enough to play hard for more than a half while your team is getting its ass kicked, then you don't care enough to drive yourself to develop your full potential in the NBA.

I think you may be overstating the negative personality traits in Edwards. You dont walk into 19ppg as a freshman in the SEC without some of those attributes.

I see Edwards ceiling being a combination of oladipo/jrue/donovan. The upside is definitely there. If he can reach that ceiling then we have
our 3rd all star. Im warming up to the idea of drafting him 1st.

Wiseman is my #1 choice. But its looking less and less likely we go with him.

This draft will determine the future of rosas, saunders, towns and dlo. We either hit a home run and have a succesful run with towns/dlo/#1 pick or towns gets traded in 2 years and rosas gets fired.
